The nightmare isn't over, General Cain ordered The Hive to be reopened, and in doing so contaminated all of Raccoon City, a city of the dead, with Alice stuck right in the middle. Now, along with other surviors, Jill Valentine, Carlos Oliviera and his Captain, Nicholai, they must fight to survive, to escape the nightmare that has plaqed Raccoon City. But now there is a new threat: Matt Addison has fully mutated into a seemingly unstoppable creature, code named Nemesis, who will stop at nothing until everything around it is dead, but it also has another agenda...

It won't be. I love the games. I didn't get to see the first one in the movie but saw it a year later at a friend's house. It was such a dissapointment. It was nothing like the video game. I couldn't belive they ruined such good potential for a movie. Part 2 will probably follow the same way. Nemisis? Wasn't that part 3 in the games.

Yah, like the first movie didnt suck enough, lol. It wasnt that bad I suppose. But so damn predictable.

The games rock. I love Code Veronica. Good stuff there. But as its so popular, now the ruin the franchise by overproducing the games.

Actully, this movie is said to be a lot like the games.

why? becasue they recieved so many complaints that the first movie sucked so badly.

I was in the unique position of never having looked at the game when the first movie came out (I still haven't seen it but am aware of what it is) so I judged the movie totally on it's own merits.

* MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS TO THE FIRST MOVIE IN THE FOLLOWING POST. PLEASE DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT *

I quite liked it. I feel it payed homage to some of the great zombie movies of the past such as Day Of The Dead (1985) and others. And I thought it was quite unpredictable in parts. Remember One, played by Colin Salmon, the SWAT-like leader. Remember how he was bumped off? I never expected that at all, I thought he was set to be a main character.

The first movie did have quite a few scares but it was it's unpredictability that I liked the most.

I'm looking forward to the sequel. It'll be fun seeing where things go from here.

*Spoilers perhaps*

Well if you played the game Resident Evil: Nemesis for dreamcast/playstation all should know the movie is 85% accurate to the game.

Is it actually accurate to the game? Since you know its supposed to be based off the games. Although the first one pooed all over that.

Yes, It's loosely based off of a mixture of the games.

Explaination and small spoilers:
Quote:
Jill Valentine and other S.T.A.R.S Members from the games are in the movie. Alice takes much of Claire's role in the Movie, and Nemesis Looks exactly like he does in the game. And they explain it the same way. And With places like The School, Church, Racoon City P.D (Though you dont get to see the grand lobby like in the game) and the Hospital, basically you could say the this movie as the embodiment of all the games mixed into 1

According to the imdb (internet database) this movie origionaly had Nemisis as a subtitle but this was change because of the "failure" of the latest Star trek movie (what does that have to do with anything??)

They don't want any association or confusion with it.
