PostMon Sep 13, 2004 4:04 pm    Found this site...

http://www.firsttvdrama.com/enterprise/index.php3

It contains reviews of Enterprise episodes, where they point out what was done wrong, and the errors they made. I laughed my *beep* off while reading some of those reviews, others helped me understand what many people on this site was reffering to when talking about the errors with Enterprise.

I'd like to quote something they wrote about the missed opportunitys in "Cold Front".

Quote:
After losing his super vision that he had been accustomed to for at least four months, wouldn't it have been nice if Silik bumped into at least one wall?

Forgive me if my humor is somewhat wierd, but there is alot of truth behind the statements made there.

Its funny actually. The posts are all based on one specific thing because thats all they can find, if you put everything together then its all total rubbish.

Example:
Enterprise episode "Regeneration"

'But now suddenly the Borg nano-probes have the ability to regenerate the dead living flesh and make them alive again, so that these new lively Borg are walking around, talking, smiling, making chitchat, dancing the moonwalk, etc, etc.'

thats not true, the nanoprobes where always capable of repairing dead tissue, of course they can or else they wouldn't be cyborgs.

'The Borg didn't get nano-probes until much later, around "First Contact" or their appearances on Voyager. If they had it during their first encounters with Picard, it wasn't established yet. This is why Beverly Crusher suggested using nanobots as a weapon AGAINST the Borg, because they didn't yet know the Borg ALREADY used them. '

thats the worst actually

'You see, if it was really a dire situation, Tucker wouldn't have been able to shut down and remove the Borg tech within the time allowed. If he was EVER going to fail as an Engineer, it would have been NOW, with the technology being the most alien and advanced he's ever encountered.'

It was a trap, trip though he did something but actually he didn't because they only used it afterwards.

'This episode gave NO REASON for the Borg to specifically go out of their way to head towards Earth. The Borg message home didn't say anything about Earth's future power base, only where they were. If the map was all it took, they wouldn't have waited so long until AFTER other encounters with Earth and Federation ships and outposts. '

i don't even know what they meant by this one.

But, some of the posts where true. for example:

'Maybe it's believeable to have such a massive amount of wreckage still pretty much contained in the same area (but with some debris standing 50 feet high, never discovered for a century?), but to have dead Borg drones just lying around under three inches of fluffy snow and 3 inches of sheet ice is just plain stupid'

'In "First Contact", the Borg nanoprobes would assimilate someone within a minute. But suddenly here, Phlox gets injected and he can hold out long enough to catch an entire season of "24". '

'Even in TNG's time, they had one shot, maybe two before the Borg adapted to the weaponry. But here? Oh, hey, suddenly Reed is so cool he can fire his antiquated Phase Pistol five times before they adapt'

plus he got the shots AFTER the adapted too the wepaons of another starfleet person who fired the same weapon.

It was a funny site I'll say that much , and the reviewer is a very funny guy ... BUT! Most of the points are opinions and ideas about the way he thought the scene/episode should have been written.

Yeah, I didn't get that one.

About what you said, lionhead. He does get the facts messed up sometimes, but for the most part he gets it right.

I found this comment particularly funny. Nice site.

That's right. Partially. Since the guy who was with Picard and Worf at the deflector dish, was assimailated in about a minute. But it takes other crew members much longer to be assimilated. Also, in one of the VOY eps, Seven states that "Borg drones go trough {don't know the exact number anymore} 27{!} stages before being a real Borg." So the writers have already messed that issue up.

Porthos

One of the most talented actors on the show, the dog who plays Porthos is so good, they hired two of them to trade off, just like they did with the Olsen Twins on "Full House".

Outshining the abilities of Bakula and certainly Blalock, it only took one year before Braga broke yet another promise of not doing a Porthos-based episode, as the second season "A Night in Sickbay" focuses on the pooch.

Great page!

I found this about the evil B:s!

Quote:
Little Ricky Whettestone from Illinois asks, "When will Rick Berman and Brannon Braga be fired?"
"Well Ricky, Mr. Berman and Mr. Braga are under contract for multiple years to come. Mr. Braga has at least a three year commitment for a multi-million dollar salary that he won't ever give up as long as the miracles of modern technology allows him to 'phone it in'.

And Mr. Berman, just as the anti-christ, is immortal and can never be killed. He has all the Paramount Executives fooled into believing the beloved Trek franchise is safe within only his capable hands, so it will also be at least another three years for him, too, before we may possibly have good and talented people in charge again. And even then, Paramount can always renew their contracts until hell freezes over. Thank you for your question, Ricky."

^ Take that Evil B's!!!

Seriously, I can't wait until those guys get the boot...if they ever do. I think they should get that guy who wrote for DS9 to write more ST. (Can't remember his name at the moment) I thought he was pretty great.

^ Maybe if they did that, the ratings would go up!

They do seem to be getting pretty desperate.

Now, see, here is a wonderful, valid idea! I would even watch ENT to see that, and I have been actively boycotting the show! But I would only watch if they put in a little aside after she beat up Archer, and kicked the crap out of The Evil B's...

Boycotting the show! Do you know how much comedy you've missed out on?
