It's easy to say that as an avid follower of Bush, sure. I, for one, can't imagine what it must be like for the families. Can't say I want to either. I think it's incredible that you're pushing them into the fight against global terror. That's for Bush, Blair, Putin and co. to worry about.

When I read that people just want to get on with their lives, and you're sitting there saying they have to be on the political frontline, it makes my head spin.

I know, and I see what you're saying. But their stories really strike us and people them support the War on Terror more.

No, they don't have to be involved in politics at all. They can decline all interviews, etc... But they have to realize that what happened is bigger than them, and that people aren't just going to let it "disappear" to make them feel better.
And as for the statement regarding "responsiblity", that was optimistic on my part. I would never want to go through that kind of agony, but if I did, I would try to make sure that others never had to endure it. That's all that meant. No politics involved.

Get over it. 9/11 was shocking at the time but its 3 years ago, the fact you have to remember it every year means the terrorists win and it probably encourages them to make more memorable dates with the US.

Do you seriously want to remember such a tragic occasion every year, forever.
if so then...
Bin Laden has made his mark on the world with permanent ink.

Dude what the hell is wrong with you? What crawled up your ass and died? We're supposed to forget this event? Because we honor our dead and offer a day of remembrance doesn't mean the "terrorist win". We remember Pearl Harbor. Does that mean were encouraging the Japanese to attack us? We remember the Civil War. Does that mean the South will rise again? No. Your pretty simple minded if you think the terrorists are doing all this to make "memorabe dates". Its a little bigger than that. And don't tell us what we can and can't remember.

Make sure you all in England forget the bombing of London, too, ok?

Exactly. You see, if we forget it THEN we are giving in to the terrorists. We CAN'T forget! If we do, then we will forget what the War on Terror is about and what others will do to us if we don't act on it!

I think I kind of see what they were saying, even if it wasn't put in the best manner. If I am getting this right, then I kind of agree. First, we need to remember it. However, we need to stop the mourning. For instance, the memorial they held yesterday at the WTC ground zero. People are still stuck on the fact that they lost there family member, and are still crying about it. Basically, it looks like we are still in stuck in the same state of mourning as we were at 9/12/01. Remember yes, we must. However, continue greiving, no, we must move past that part, we have to accept that nearly 3000 people are gone, and accept that fact.

You know, Kevin raises a good point. Yes, we HAVE to remember it, but after this 9/11, we SHOULD stop the mourning, and move on in that sense. To that degree, I agree. (degree, agree )
