Alright, I said I'd see it because it was the only one in theaters I hadn't seen... so I did. and I can sum it up in five words....
Whoreish femanist rip-off of Spiderman
The writing sucked, the storyline sucked, the acting was horrible. But I'll give one thing to the cinematography, it was great. Several dozen parallels to Spiderman were uncanny, like some femanist watched Spiderman and was offended that it was called Spiderman so they made Catwoman. Romance was especially cheesy, dialogue was stilted and made even worse by the acting. The action was only made good by the cinematography. I almost walked out after the first scene, and I never walk out on movies. I'll give this movie half a claw on a paw of five. Don't waste your money.

I didn't want to see that movie. I could sense it would be crap when I saw the first preview. The only reason anyone would go is to see Halle Berry in leather. Not to say im against that or anything........... . I was never really interested in Catwomen as a superhero anyways. Go back to Batman its where you belong!

Yeah I am not wasting my husband's money to see it. I don't think it will be any good but it's just my opinion.

I agree with all of you. I saw this movie yesterday evening and I must say I didn't like it.
To be honest, I was bored. Halle Bary did look very sexy in her outfit but her acting wasn't very good. I assumed she was a good acctriss after seeing 'Monster's Ball' and 'Girl Interupted' but this time she didn't do well at all.
Pity.

Thanks for reviewing it, Triam.
I must say, I am not surprised. I try not to prejudge any movie but sometimes, you have to make an exception. I guessed the movie would br crap because it was worlds away from the core concept of the original Catwoman, her origin and powers (in fact, the original Catwoman didn't have powers, just peak abilities).
I have spoken to dozens of people about this. I have read reviews on the net from critics and fans. I can honestly say I have NOT come across one positive review yet.
Maybe someday we'll get a proper Catwoman movie that respects the original character. As a heterosexual male, I am not blind to Halle Berry's costume in the movie (although some of it will be CGI and a stuntMAN was even used in some scenes). However, if I wanted to see a woman in a costume like that, I'd get myself a date and buy a woman a costume like that. As far as movies go, I'd have preferred something akin to the Catwoman we saw in Batman Returns. In fact, Michelle Pfeiffer still could have played the role but of course, Hollywood doesn't have much time for women over 40.

Sad but true.
Honestly, I really thought this Catwoman movie would be a spin-off from the Batman movies. Maybe that would have worked better...

What I don't get is that catwoman survived at the end of Batman returns so whats with this? when I heard the name I thought a sequal to Batman Returns. boy am I wrong I wouldn't even wipe my dogs back side with this movie. thats if I had a dog.
