That is absolutly meaningless information...like me saying that these countries unemployment rate is practically doubled that of our current one. We don't need to have other countries "approve" of our President...especially France and Germany. I think we all knew which way they would swing anyhow.

EXACTLY. We don't need their approval to defend our country, for instance.

But then again, maybe the agree on policies...perhaps economic policies. Of course, if that is the case, the US needs to be ready to have their unemployment rate rise to either 9.4%, or 10.7%.

Who said you did? I merely put some information down on the table. But if I was an American, and I saw that three powerful nations were very much against George Bush and his policies, I certainly wouldn't dismiss it so easily.

And why not? We have the power of choice in this democracy, and I don't see why any other countries should influence the way we vote, especially ones that are too weak to stand up in the fight against terrorists. I don't see why we should have to appease other countries, especially when some people beleive that it is the foreign country that is out of line.

When you consider the impact Bush's current term in office has had on the world, I think anyone considering voting for him - should they be at all interested in anything outside their own borders - could do a damn sight worse than at least listen to the concerns of other countries. But to be honest, with the position Bush has put you guys in, it'll be the same thing with any presidential candidate.

Kyre, I must respectfully disagree. We should NOT be conserned about the rest of the world. We need to pick the man right for OUR country, not someone who will bow to the will of France and Germany. (so to speak)

You can't not be concerned about the rest of the world, especially if you're the most powerful nation that exists. That sends out a lovely message doesn't it?

Well, yes, that's right--I agree with THAT, but not that it should really affect our Presidential election too much.

If your concerned about the rest of the World than you should look to Bush. Bush does deal with foreigen affairs. Kerry won't. He wants us to fix the US and not help a struggling Iraq. Kerry complains that the money going to help rebuild Iraq should be going to helping ourselves. You have your facts mixed up. Bush actually deal withs stuff outside of the US.

Yes! Agreed for the most part, but I disagree that Kerry won't act on foreign countries--he'll listen to France and Germany and get a permission slip from the UN before protecting our country.

You'll notice that "the rest of the world" went "anti-Bush" when he decided that the UN had placated Saddam long enough, and did something about it. I'd be embarrassed if I were them, too, This man, who's only been in office mere months, deals with a viable threat that the UN has been, for a lack of a better term, pussyfooting around for over a decade. The nerve,

I agree! Superb points!

I AM TIRED OF THIS, KYRE!!!! IN THIS TYPE OF CASE ALL THAT THERE IS IS BLACK AND WHITE, AS YOU CALL IT!!!
I can see that you don't give a damn about the 3100 people who died, and that you don't give a damn about fighting the terrorists, but....ERRR!!!

And sorry, I appologize for my attitude today, but I've been watching the coverage of the evil acts of 9/11 and am more passionate than ever before.

Take note that this thread, in rememberance of the people who died at 9/11, is now an attempt to justify Bush's actions. What's that all about then? Why not forget about that for a moment, if you do indeed claim to be remembering three years ago.
Then again, I'm a terrorist right?
EDIT: Well, I made a fool of myself there. It's the wrong thread. But the dream was there wasn't it?

I NEVER SAID THAT. Just that those who don't support our efforts against the terrorists (excluding the Iraq War) are "with the terrorists," which doesn't make you a terrorist, but you supported the War in Afganhistan, though, right?
2. DAMN IT!!!! I AM TIRED OF THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM NOT USING THIS AS AN OPPORTUNITY TO JUSTIFY THE GOOD THINGS BUSH DID, BUT IT IS SOMETHING THAT CAN BE SAID!!! HE WENT AFTER THE TERRORISTS AND WE HAVEN'T BEEN ATTACKED SINCE 9/11. THOSE ARE SOME THINGS THAT SHOULD BE UP FOR DISCUSSION, BUT I AM REMEMBERING THOSE THAT DIED ON 9/11, YOU IDIOT!!!

That's not what it seemed like. And yes, he does have things to do with the mourning. He's mourning--and has mourned--with us all. (Americans)

For you, who see demons where none exist, I imagine not. Terrorism - wrong, no matter the reason. Very black and white there. Terrorism must be stopped. You can sit there and be a victim if you choose. "We can never stop terrorism," blah blah blah. Something can be done about it, and is being done about it.

Amen!!! I completely agree!!
And okay, so it's going down a bit. I'm expecting that he'll get a little bounce after today.
