Story:

It is the year 2380. 1 year has gone by since the Shinzon incident. Relations between the Federation, Klingon, and Romulan empires have never been better. There is a silence across the Galaxy and a peace that has not been seen for generations. An enemy awaits in the darkness waiting for a chance to disrput the peace. A faction, from the Romulans, that does not agree with Federation/Romulan peace has attacked several Federation outposts along the Neutral Zone. A war erupted between the Federation and the Romulan rebels. The war was a quick one and ended in one year. The Federation and the Romluan rebels were fighting to control the Vega system. An important system within the Neutral Zone. It is said whoever controls the system, controls the Neutral Zone, and has a stronger foothold inside of it. There are several M class planets within the system but only one contains Federation allies. A planet named Elerra Prime allied with the Federation during the war. The Romulan rebels attacked the planet constantly. The Federation placed a starbase to orbit the planet to defend it. Towards the end of the war the Romulans got desperate and sent an attack force to destroy the Starbase. They succeeded but the Romulans still lost the war. Starfleet has created another Starbase to hold the system. This starbase is more powerful and is able to detect cloaked vessels. It is the most advanced in all of Starfleet. In addition to that Starfleet has created a Starship to be attached to the station in case of emergencies. Instead of being named by the standard serial number, Starfleet has decided to call this Station Star Base, Deep Space Guardian. Since it was going to guard the entire system. The Starbase is currently finishing construcing and its crew has been chosen.

Spacedock was originally designed to assist in Starfleet's operations in the Sol sector of space in the 23rd century. The idea originated during the conflicts with the Klingon Empire. In 2259, the design of the station was authorized and would take several years for the design to be completed due to constant changes to the design. The facility was the most complex and largest production project ever devised by Starfleet. The first spacedock was completed in 2276 in Earth orbit. Spacedock was to be a multi-pupose facility serving in the role of forward base, industrial center, operations hub, shipyard and research facility. Before spacedock was constructed, starships were produced separately on single ship orbital platform facilities for the construction and maintenance of its starships. The internal docking bays protected the work crews from the hazards of space such as radiation and debris. While having a centralized center meant materials and components were manufactured at the same place that increased production efficiency. Tactically, open fleetyards were more vulnerable to enemy attack than a large spacedock. It also serves as an administration center for Starfleet Command and were an ideal place for first contact with nonaligned worlds.

Each spacedock facility was a small city in space and can support up to eight Galaxy Class vessels and up to twenty four smaller vessels. By the 24th century two of the docking bays were enlarged to support larger vessels such as the Galaxy Class. Giant sensor towers and the forest of antennae at the bottom and top of Spacedock allow her to scan several light yeatrs around the area of the station. At the same time, these starbases were not only a Starfleet base but a civilian starbase one as well. Each spacedock facility welcomed merchants and businessmen. As a result, they were a place of trade and commerce for a variety of different alien species. While for other civilians there were also welcomed with living quarters, retail and office space available. Many of the civilians are family members of Starfleet personnel stationed at the base. Starbases also contained the most advance medical and scientific facilites that are unmatched even in the most modern starship.

With the expansion of the Federation in the 24th century and the success of the original spacedock Starfleet decided to produce a limited number of spacedock type starbases in key sectors. These bases would perform the same tasks that the oringinal spacedock had done for Earth in the 23rd century. Due to their size a limited number was produced due to the long construction time however the end result was one that was well worth the effort. The spacedock design was enlarged to take into account exisitng and future starship designs. As a result, starbases produced in the early 24th century was capable of supporting several Galaxy Class starships with ease.

In recent years, spacedocks have received upgrades to their defensive systems with the installation of the new phaser type X+ arrays and the use of the new mark VI photon torpedoes. Other changes included the replacement of the M-10 Duotronic IV Computer processor to the M15A Bio-Neural Gelpack Isolinear II-a computer processor. Holodecks, advanced medical facilties and industrial replicators have been introduced in recent years as well. With the arrival of the Dominion and Borg threats these starbases provided protection and security to key Federation sectors. At the same time the shipyards in each spacedock was increased to 105% to meet the ship demands of the war effort. With the end of the war with the Dominion these starbases will form the backbone of the Federation's production and maintenance facilitates for several decades to come. With an ever expanding Federation it is expected that more of these spacedocks will be produced.

The resultant shock wave from the detonation of the antimatter has been modelled at level 7. For this reason there is an Impulse engine and navigation controls to send this area to a safe distance before detonation.

Age: 37
Species: Human
Gender: Male
BIO: All his life he lived on a space station. His father was an Admiral onboard Deep Space 7. He lived there until he was 18 and left for Starfleet. He graduated and was stationed with his father on DS7. He was promoted to Commander during the Dominion War and served on DS5. The war ended and he stayed onboard DS5. His father's space station went under the command of another Captain and his father stayed on Earth for a while. When the Earth/Romulan Rebel war began and the station was made to defend Elerra Prime, Ian's father jumped at the chance to command a station again regretting the choice of leaving his old station. The station was destroyed at the end of the war by Romulans and his father died. Ian has very few relatives left. He was saddened by the loss of his hero, his father. One reason for taking the new command was because he wanted to finish his father's work and defend the system.

Gender: Male
BIO: During the Great War with the Romulans in the Nautolian system, a system on the other end of Romulan Empire, a Starship from the Nautolian Republic was dispatched to check out the United Federation of Planets and request for membership in the Federation. The Federation met First Contact with them, and yet the Federation did not accept them, due to the fact that they did not want a war with the Romulans. (This is pre-Dominion War, btw) After the war, however, that the Nautolians won, the Federation welcomed them. However, the Dominion Wars broke out, and the Nautolians were cut off from beyond the Romulan border. Another Republic ship was dispatched, this one under the command of Master Sit Fito, a Master of the Mystic Arts. After negotiating membership, he was welcomed to stay if he wanted to, and serve onboard the USS Star Voyager as Chief of Security, as they could use a person of his skills on board one of the main-stream starships.
He accepted, reluctently, and was soon transferred to oversee the creation of Deep Space Guardian. The government of the Nautolian system was not happy about his change, but they accepted it for its worth. Now First Officer on board the station, Fito was ready for whatever came to him, Laser Sword on his belt, Mystical Powers readied.



Security: Chief Security Officer, Lieutenant Commander Blake Robitaille [Played by: Valathous]
Age: 27
Species: Human
Gender: Male
BIO: Blake Robitaille is quite the interesting individual. He can mask any feelings and can actually form mental barriers that block out certain sections of his mind from telepaths despite not being a telepath. He has a love for the security field. He took it as a major in Starfleet academy, along with tactical and helm as minors. He graduated a year sooner than most, and was immediately transferred to the U.S.S. Warsaw-A straight from the academy where he served for 2 years where he gained a reputation as being a great officer until he disagreed with his department head about saving a Federation vessel, or saving a Klingon vessel with a powerful experimental weapon from the Romulans. The chief wanted to save the Federation vessel, Blake wanted to make sure the weapon didn't fall into the hands of the enemy. Him arguing against saving the Federation vessel lost him his reputation and his department head asked the Captain to remove him from the ship . He was then transferred to the U.S.S. Explorer-D. He then worked there for 2 years and obtained the rank of lieutenant before being re-assigned to the station "Deep Space Guardian" as Chief of Security. Most see him as an odd man, and many think his judgements are odd, but almost all of them usually turn out for the better of the Federation.

Gender: Male
BIO: First Member of his race to ever join starfleet. He was first on the sole fact that his people are from the Delta Quadrent. He was born and rasied on a small M class planet that is the site of a very Small colony of his people, just over 300 people. The Colony Is the result of a gruop of Pendari that did not agree with the rest of there speices on a form of goverment and rather then face death they fled, It took the ship 70 years to find the world and settle down, its been almost 10 years sense the ship landed and formed the small colony. Harfin stands at 7 Foot tall and is very strong, able to lift and toss a regular person clear acroos the room, and he is considered normall for his species. Harlin also has a strong sense of duty, wich all else takes a back seat to, but he does enjoy the occasonal drink with his men, and his fellow officers.

BIO: Dave studied Engineering from an early age, and combined it with his deft mechanical skill to become a young yet proficient engineer aboard the USS Darwin. After several years, he learned that the position as chief engineer aboard a space station was open, and applied for the position with avid interest.
Looks: Eyes: Blue (both of 'em)
Hair: Brown (all of it)
Distinguishing features: Tall and thin, therefore easy to pick out in a crowd. Uncomfortable in dress uniforms or anything with a tight collar.

Gender: Male
Bio- (I may look like Riker but Im NOT RIKER)Born in Canada Earth, moved to Mars 1 colloney and lived there till I was 5. Parents died in a transporter malfunction put up for addoption and addopted by a Betazoid mom and a half Vulcan Father. Lived with them until I was 16 when I joined StarFleet Academy, lived there for 4 years, graduated and accepted a post on the U.S.S. Endevour, was there for 7 years, transferred to the Yamato for a year then transferred to Deep Space Guardian.



Medical: Chief Medical Officer, Lieutenant Junior Grade Aiasjia Shoran [Played by: Exalya]
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Species: Human
BIO: Aiasjia was brought up on Turkana IV. Her parents were killed early-on in a raid when she was 9, and she was left to fend for herself--her only sibling, and unborn sister, having been killed along with her mother. For years, she fended for herself, learning what she could from discarded papers and padds, hoping to stay out of the way until something changed. When she was 17, it finally did. After being injured in the collapse of a beam in an alley-way, the federation vessel Katana took her to the ship to fix her wounds. While there, she explained her problems, and was taken in by a female Lieutenant, Jaiya Toral, the Chief Medical Officer. A year of staying with Jaiya, and feeling in her debt, Aia took after her mentor, and enrolled in starfleet as a medical student. She graduated early with her agressive learning tactics, and by the time she was 24 she had already earned honorable mention, and the status of CMO. Aia is sharp-witted, but not without her flaws. Years on Turkana rendered her overly agressive, blunt, and sometimes just smart-alecky. Not a woman to be crossed.



Helm: Chief Helm Officer, Lieutenant Sophia Findlay [Played by: ILoveHarry]
Age: 26
Species: Human
Gender: Female
BIO: Joined Starfleet when she was fifteen, after completing high school in one year. She imediatly joined SI and has led many covert operations. She's always kept a low-profile, which makes her an ideal agent. Over the years, she has served on many vessles and stations for various assignments. She is not a known SI agent, as she opperates mainly on a covert basis. She is highly trained in a vast amount of combat forms.
The saying, "looks can be deciving," could have been written about Sophie. She's an attractive blonde, slight in build. She appears to be a quiet, highly feminine, unassuming individual. Her deceptive looks add to her agent skills.



Promenade Bar Owner/Enlisted Security Officer: Crewman Rav [Played by: mad_d0ggie]
Age: 24
Species: Ferengi
Gender: Male
BIO: Rav grew up on Ferenginar, with a more than usual interest in making money. Rav was just a child when he found out that Quark, a fellow Ferengi was running a bar on a Starfleet base. It was then that Rav decided that the Hew-mans would be a good source of profit. Rav decided to attempt to work at a Starbase as a security officer, and own a bar. At the end of the Dominion War, and the choosing of the next Grand Nagus, Rav decided that it would be crucial to start a bar, knowing that more people would be exploring freely, and after all "Peace is good for buisness". Rav was soon realized as a good marksman and tactician. Rav looking for a way to make money, decided to talk to higher up Starfleet Admirals about a job. Rav decided to lie about training, saying that he took Ferengi military training, and realized that there was no point in the Ferengi military, and decided to join starfleet. The Admirals believed the lies, and let him join Starfleet, as a non-com only. Rav decided to now apply for a position at a starbase. Rav then decided to show off his marksman skills in a competion. He won, and put that in a resume. The competion was the only true thing in the resume, but no-one else knew that. Captain Xavier, The Captian of Deep Space Guardian was very impressed by what he saw. The Captian decided to get him to join Deep Space Guardian's crew roster as an enlisted security officer. A non-com.
Rav wasn't done yet though, with the Latinum he had acquired over the years, he bought the bar there, renaming it "Ferenginar's Will". He owns it, and has upgraded it with Holo-suites, and many other upgrades.

Gender: Male
Bio:Born In New Zealand with Father Admiral Jogan Carter. When reaching age 13, decided to study Astrometric work. Learned everything at Starfleet Academy. Have been on 2 Ships as Chief Astrometrics. Recently worked with Seven Of Nine on U.S.S Deplhin for short time.

Gender: Male
BIO: Rex has been fed up of Betazoid, and joined starfleet on his 17'th birthday. He graduated from Star Fleet Academy when he whas 21. Rex Beto already has served on the USS Destiny and USS New Jerseyand is a experienced Hazard team member. He then joined the Hazard team on Deep Space Guardian under Ryan Aurora.

Bio: The descendant of the original Jonathan Archer. Archer always wanted a command, yet while not wanting to be a Doctor, wanted to be able to help people in that way. His decision was to join the academy and while in Command training, also trained in the medical field. He never took a job in the medical field. At the start of the academy he met Ian Xavier. They became quick friends and went though the academy together. They also served at Deep Space 7 as a security Officer until the second officer position opened on the USS Reliant. There, while staying in touch with his friend he served until the outbreak of the dominion war. He was transferred to the USS New York as the first officer. He served until the Captain position of the USS Valiant where he commanded until the USS Hippocratic Oath was available. Archer realized this was his chance to Command a ship and, help people at the same time. He was pleased to find that the ship was going to be assigned to Deep Space Guardian when he found out the Commanding Officer was his old friend Ian Xavier.

SEASON 1-EPISODE 1: HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS.

Ian Xavier was just promoted to Captain. He couldn't believe it. The promotion came so fast. He was Commander of Deep Space 5 for only 2 years. After the war an opening opened for Captain of a Starbase and he was chosen. He was now onboard the USS Titan heading towards DSG. He was in the observation lounge with Captain William Riker.

"Nervous Captain?" Riker asked.

Ian smiled and shook his head. He took a sip of his Vulcan tea.

"Not at all," Ian replied truthfully. "Im looking forward to this command."

"I remember those days." Riker replied.

"Next to the failed Unity Station, this new starbase will be the most advanced ever created by Starfleet." Ian said.

"If only it had those futiristic modifications Voyager brought back with her too," He said chuckling. "It would be one of the most powerful stations in the galaxy. Too bad Starfleet had that techonlogy dismantled and destroyed."

Ian looked at the window and saw the stars zoom by while they were in warp.

"Well we can't pollute the timeline now can we?" Ian said. "Rumor is though that Starfleet never dismantled it but are studying it."

Riker laughed loudly at his response.

"Sounds like Section 31 rubbish," Riker joked. " You haven't payed a visit to Deep Space 9 have you?"

The two men laughed and noticed the ship drop out of Warp.

"We're here." Riker said.

The two walked out of the observation lounge and entered the Bridge. Deanna Troi, Riker's wife, was commanding the Bridge. She smiled at the two men and let Riker take back control of the ship.

"Helm? Put the Starbase on the viewscreen," Riker orderd. "Let the Captain look at his new station."

"Aye sir." The helmsman replied.

He tapped on several buttons and an image of the Starbase appeared.



"Beautiful...." Ian said.

"That she is," Riker replied. "Would you like to be beamed over or go by shuttle?"

Ian was in a daze of the amazing view. Riker tapped his shoulder to get his attention.

"Im sorry," He replied stupidly. "I'd simply like to beam over. I think I took up enough of your time. I know you have to be in Nyvern System in an hour."

Riker nodded and walked towards the turbolift. They both entered and Riker called for Transporter Room 2. The lift stopped at the deck and they entered the Trasnporter room. Ian stepped on the transporter pad after shaking Riker's hand.

"We'll have your possesions beamed over momentarily," Riker said. "It was good having you aboard. Good luck Captain."

"Thank you Captain Riker." Ian said.

"Energize." Riker ordered.

Ian felt himself being transfered off the ship and onto the station. Once the transport was complete Ian looked around. The station was beautiul inside just as it was outside. There were some parts that weren't completed but Ian ignored that. It would be completed soon enough. He walked around the station trying to obsorb his new command. It was filled with not only Starfleet officers and Federation members but non Federation members. Starbases not only are repair facilities for ships but also serve as communities. The Station was like a giant city. Filled with species from all over the Galaxy. It was even bigger than his old station. Ian smiled and knew he was going to like it here.

"All right! The captain should have already arrived by now. I want all last minute checks completed!" Grey bellowed out across main engineering. "All engineers are to make sure that their assigned systems are working at 95% efficiency! An expection is scheduled for tomorrow, and we need to be ready."

Grey was not the task master that he appeared. He was just nervous about his first time in command of an entire department--not only that, but in command of over 1000 personnel. He wanted to appear experienced and in control. He didn't know his new captain, he didn't know what to expect.

Grey sighed and read the latest status report from docking port maintenance.

Ian looked up at the Commander. He held out his hand. He couldn't help but notice his Alien features. Ian had heard about the Nautolians, although he never saw one before. He did hear that some of them were born with abilities that surpassed Humans. He saw a hilt of a weapon hanging off his belt. It must have been the "lightsaber" that his people used as weapons. They were similiar to the Ferengi electrical whips. The two shook hands.

"Thank you Commander," Eric said nicely. " It is an honor to meet one of Nautolia Prime's best."

Ian always wondered what their weaponry looked like. Normally Starfleet command would not allow them to bring their weapons onboard but a special dispensation was given to his people because of the great importance of the weapon. Starfleet used to not allow that, for example the Bajoran earings. They changed those strict rules after the Dominion War.

"I'd love to see t...." Ian said but was interrupted.

He fell to the ground when he was shoved by a large Nausican. The Nauiscan had stolen a couple of illegal synthisized drugs used only by Doctors. Ian looked up to see him run off and the Commander chase after him.

"Stop now!" Using his "Mystical Powers" with his hands, Sit pulled the man back. "Get him, Captain!" Just in case, he activated his Green Lightsaber. He then, holding the grip with one hand, ran towards the criminal.

(Malcolm had been onboard the starbase for a few weeks now and had taklen it upon himself to retrain the junior members of the crew in the area of combat. Many of them thought that the academy's training was enough, but in reality, it was far from it. Malcolm had ordered 5 Ensigns new to the station to report to holodeck 1 at 0800 hours for more combat training. The last of the 5 had just arrived and Malcolm pointed to a small rack with exactly 5 weapons left on it. The members of the small squad each took a weapon and walked back to Malcolm.)

"As you know, you're hear for the purpose of learning how to combat the enemy at close-range. Some of you may think that your academy training was enough, but believe, out here, it's anything but. In this class you will learn the advanced parts of combat, defense, and strategy in both small and large teams. Today will be your first combat simulation so I can assess your abilities. Computer, begin program Jones5."

(The holodeck grid-lines disappeared and they found themselves in a rusty old Romulan service hangar.)

"The Romulans have us pinned down in this service hangar. Security systems will be coming online at any moment now, and you're going to have to find a way to survive. If you get hit and the computer detects it as a life-threating injury, then you will be removed from the simulation and you will continue this class. If you manage to stay alive in this death trap for 10 or more minutes, then you may choose not to continue this class."

Squad:"Sir, yes sir!"

(Romulans started pouring into the room and security systems came online. Although he wanted to get in on the fight, he couldn't help his class to get out of much needed combat training for some of them. He activated his personal cloaking device and stood off in the back corner of the hangar, just watching.)

Ian cursed and got up. He ran quickly and did a flip over a large bulkhead that was about to be installed. He saw the Nausican fall back but didn't know why. All he saw was Sit Fisto raise his hand forward. He also noticed that he had ignited his laser sword. It was an amazing site to see. Ian ran towards the dazed Nausican and grabbed him.

"Trying to make my first day miserable?" Ian said.

Ian looked over at the Commander who put the laser sword away. Ian grabbed the bag of hypsprays.

"There is security on this station right?" Ian said sarcastically.

(A few minutes went by and his entire squad had been holographically killed by the Romulans. He ended the program and let out a deep sigh as he deactivated his personal cloaking device.)

"Well gentlement. What a way to start off. It seems clear that you all need some extra combat training time if you want to stay alive during the real thing, if you ever have to do the real thing."

Ensign Warner:"What's the point of this, sir? We were outnumbered in there and there was no possible way to achieve a victory."

"See, that's just it, right there. You, and probably the rest of you, are unable to let yourselves believe that you can win when outnumbered. It doesn't matter how many troops an army has, what matters is how well trained that army is. Had you known the proper combat skills you all would have survived that simulation for 10 minutes. Next simulation i'll fight alongside you, and give you a front row seat to a good show. However, tommorrow we'll be on the shooting range. Meet me here at 0800, once again."

Squad:"Yes sir."

(He walked out of the holodeck and went down to the right a bit where he entered a turbolift crowded with several other station personal he wasn't familiar with. He instructed it to ops and after several stops at other places the door opended and he walked onto ops. He took the tactical station and ran diagnostics, something he had become accustomed to doing while waiting.)

Grey made sure everything was order on engineering and then entered a turolift to OPS, where the new captain would probably go--eventually. He straightened his uniform several times, anxiously plucking at the wrinkles around the waist--it hung loosely off his thin form--and watched as the lift ascended decks.

When the turbolift arrived at Ops, he stepped out and took the engineering station. Then he waited.

They entered the turbolift and called for OPS. The turbolift stopped.
Eric and the commander exited the turbolift. OPS was packed with various people and was bigger than wht he was used to. He looked around. A Young ensign noticed him.

"Captain onboard!" He shouted.

Tidus, wearing his green Uniform, heard about the little combat class that was being given. Tidus walked toward the holodeck. After a few more moments Tidus got a messeage:
Marine Corps officer. =^=Marine headquarters to Colonel Tidus. Sir we have just recieved a report of the Captian arriving on the station.=^=
"Thank you Major. Tidus out."
Tiduse turned back and got into a turbolift, he ordered it to ops.
Once the lifted arrived at ops Tidus walked out. His green turtle neck sticking out like a sore tumb in the see of yellow and red turtle necks.
Tidus had just walked out of the turbolift after the captian on the bridge was yelled out. Tidus walked over to the captian and said "Hello Captian, Iam Colonel Tidus of the Starfleet Marine Corps."

*I stand in a seperate hollowdeck than Malcom holding a phaser Rifle and a 9 inch dagger looking behind me seeing the hollowgraphic images of a 6 man squad behind me*

Me- Arm yourselves, theyll be here soon.....

*I look up and see a thin green laser infront of me and I raised my rifle*

Me- there here....

*I start running down the small hall in the simulated cave and fire at some of the simulated Cardassian troops killing some watching them fall when A message played through the Hollowdeck*

Computer- Leutennant Commander Ryan Aurora, Your hollowdeck time has Depleted and you are 4.567 minutes late for your rounds

*The Images fade away*

Me-Gahh....

*I walk out and go to my quarters and change into starfleet uniform and them start with my rounds around the birdge*
