|
I cant find the ad on the internet so dont ask for links.
Anyways it was on TV.
The Swiftboats Veterans are attacking Kerry for quoting several Vietnam Veterans for what they said about the abuse, and torture of civilians in Vietnam by American Soldiers.
The thing is a couple of Vietnam Vets came out in the 70s telling the truth about abuses commited by American Soldiers. John Kerry was quoting what those Vets said. Now the Swiftboats Vets are claiming that John Kerry said those things and it really hurts their feelings.
So basically they claim John Kerry are making up lies and hurting the Vietnam Veterans.

It says about John Kerry approving nuclear waste dumping in Nevada back in the 80s.
Well despite having a paper with John Kerrys signature in it shown on TV. It could be just any paper not related to nuclear waste dumping with John Kerrys signature in it.

John Kerry is accused of supporting a 50cent gas increase tax.
If those 50cents can help pay for better school teachers, healthcare, and other things then I wouldnt mind having that sort of tax.

That is NOT true. He made those claims and on the Dick Cavet show said that HE TOO committed them, and for the most part he LIED and what he said IS/WAS hurting Vietnam Veterans. It HURTS what he said, and it is a LEGITIMITE debate over what he said.

I haven't seen that ad, but I'm sure it's most likely true, but I'll need to see it first.

He is NOT just "accused" of supporting a 50 cent (A GALLON) gas tax increase TEN TIMES. It's true, and it's NOT right for the people to have to pay so much. I wouldn't want my money taken away too much--taxes SHOULD BE LOW. It's WRONG to tax gas 50 cents a gallon. WRONG.

From what I've read, I believe Bush.
And btw
Quote: | He reminded the crowd of his service in the Vietnam War, saying he would bring that experience to the position of commander in chief. |
Bush tries to push it behind, Kerry keeps bringing it up.

Um, I want to quote on the 50 cents extra on gas a gallon. Why in the hell does it need to be raised 50 cents?!? For every 1 or 2 cents they raise the prices, the country makes a billion dollars a year. Are we really ready, as a country, to give another 50 BILLION dollars in taxes? I mean come on guys. This increase in gas prices is getting a little out of hand. Gas prices are outragous here already, the last thing I need is to have to pay 50 cents more a gallon. I would go broke.

How much is petrol (gas) there at the moment? Here it's on average 82.9p (about 98c) a litre, and it's one of the highest rates in the world.
Very roughly, that's about $4 a gallon.

Damn. I pick up $1.75 a gallon more or less.
And I am 100% sick and tired of all this bullsh it of attacking kerrys war record. It doesnt matter what medals he got, the point is that he served in the military. And that only helps his character, not what he thinks.

You know what? I very much agree with you that we should move on and stop questioning his medals--for the most part, at least. However, his post-war comments are FULLY legitimate.
