What's in it for our future in space, LOGICALLY? Will we have starships? If so, what will they be like? Will we meet other races? Will we travel the galaxy? Will there be many, many space stations? All things about our future in space are welcome here!
Perhaps a forum for this is due, too...Your thoughts on that as well?

As geeky as it makes me feel sometimes, I think about this a lot. Sometimes I wish I could live for a couple hundred years and find out. I think one day things could be somewhat like Star Trek, but definetely not entirely. Like I doubt that there'll be galactic wars with a hundred different races that have these advanced starships, but there's bound to be a few other intelligent races out there somewhere.

Who knows. Space is such a mystery because we're trapped here. Maybe we're not even here. This all might be the Matrix....
Seriously though, lets hope we advance to the point where we can travel the stars. We're too busy killing each other to advance mankind. Unified peace is needed before we can explore space. Im not saying we have to become one country but we have to point those weapons away from each other so we can look at the stars.

If we ever find intelligent life, its highly unlikely that they look like anything we'd consider a person. We might not even be able to communicate with them.
If we ever find alien life, it's quite possible that it would be more...alien, than we could ever imagine.

Yeah, I agree, the only reason they make them look humanoid in Star Trek is just for TV's sake.
