threshold is one of my not so favourite words - it's quite a tongue twister and the th is difficult for a non-native speaker.
(on the other hand THs can be fun, too - I'll never forget how one day in my square dance group while calling a "square through three" the caller accidentially spit his peppermint onto the record player because of the many THs )

"Diffrence"
no one pronounces it with that stupid "er" in the middle.
