Do you ever wonder what happens to your "leftovers of metabolic process" on a starship? What happens to the poo? Come on, I need answers! ANSWERRRRRS!

There is a discussion like this over in the tech forum at trekbbs. It.s quite an intresting topic. Either they do what we do today and have a toilet, or they beam it out maybe (long term shuttle missions?).

But yeah, i'm sure the waste would be transfered back into the matter stream energy for the replicators.

Sure, why not.

I eat ground up cow muscle at McDonald's. That's pretty gross, but yet so delicious.

(Krav = "demand") Naa I shouldn't say that cuz I know I wont be abel to keep that promise, and I don't eat that much meat really... maybe I Will go vego... It's better in a world financial poit of view too... hmm... I have to think about it

I read in a science book that people were developing a sort of cereal bar made from poo. And they were talking about astronaughts using it as fertiliser so they could grow their own food. maybe starships have speeded up break down chambers, as rotting waste produces methane, which could be used to create power or to heat the ship or summat

By the way, I'm a flexitarian, I eat cold blooded meat such as fish, but no mammals or birds, they're too close to humans. I miss having duck at christmas, and venison smells sooo gooooooood....
mmmm bambi

So ur a fake vegetarian. Fish can feel pain too.

But we're going off-topic here. The TNG Tech Manual explains that all solid thingies are filtered out of the wastewater by some sort of reverse-replicator device, and that the molecules are used by the replicators.
I voted yes.

Man, I wondered if they'd even have toilets on Voyager. You never see them. Not that it would be interesting to have a whole ep going about toilets..Anyway.

Maybe it's converted so it can go into the Gel Packs it's biomatter after all..
