Ok I am looking into buying a chat server and I am looking for some numbers.
This is what I want to know plan and simple: would you buy a chat room
with these features http://www.parachat.com/product.html (server)
the price would be very cheap.
I just want some results on the Poll.
Please can you not move this around the web as I am only after poll results.

If I did have a use for a chat room I might buy one, depending on the price, but since I don't...

I would like to, I think I would be cool. But I still said no because of the money issue, and I don't have much money.

It looks very good, but it's also quite expensive. On the other hand, they say it's only a one time fee. If you'd keep it several years it might pay off.
Did you try out the free version yet? It doesn't have all functions, but it would give you an impression about the quality of the chat in general, the speed of their servers and the bugs it has possibly.
At any rate you should try it out with different ISPs as some ISPs have rotating/changing IPs. That means a user's IP can change within one session. Many boards and chats that check IPs to identify the users have probs with this. AOL is said to run their users' signals through a system of proxies so that with every new post on a board or every line in a chat they can theoretically get a different IP.
On the whole it looks like a very good and almost luxurious chat. I think I'll load down the free version and try it with my own board in the weekend. (I couldn't possibly afford to buy the full version *sigh*)
