I'm suprised no one has made a topic about the Olympic games... I guess I have to do one...
So what's your favorite of all the sports in the Olympics?
I like handball and high jump and long jump and three... step long jump or whatever
OooooOO and ping-pong
It's actually quite funny....the swedish guy called JO (who is in the bronze fight now) played against a guy from corea, that guy was born the same year as "JO" (the swedish ping-pong played) took his first olympic gold medal...
And btw, does anyone know what they will do with all the olympic buildings when all this is over?

I like the luge, and a lot of the skiing. Not much of a fan of the summer Olympics.

The table tennis has been surprisingly interesting. The gymnastics have been predictably boring.

I like the winter olympics better, too. Ice skating, luges (or whatever they're called), are fun to watch.
But I do like volleyball, tennis, diving, and gymnastics.

I'd have to say the running. Not the long marathons, but the shorter 100m, 200m stuff. I like to run, so that's why it's my favorite.

Ok seriously thou. I do like almoste every sport in the Olympics... don't like boxing and vollyball that much thou...
Oooo I watched vollyball, i think it was on friday night. The women's vollyball, and it really sucked. Let's just say I think it should be more Female camera guys! The players' butts had more screen time then the ball!!!
And the morning after that, I watched the men's vollyball, and I thought yay! male butts on tv... (I was really sick so I hadn't got much to enertain myself with ) but I waited in vain for the muscular yummy butts. NO BUTTS AT ALL!
That's totally disremenation!

You guys think the Olympic Games with judge scores are fixed? The events that need judges to score are too subjective and open to exploitation. I prefer events with head-to-head competition with the athlete finishing first for scoring the most points or getting the best time.

I like to watch swimming. It's probably because I used to do a lot of swimming myself but at much lower speeds I must add
Belgium has three medals so far, two bronze and one gold. I know it's not a lot compared to some countries but Belgian only had like 15 athletes. The gold is for Justin Henin. Right now, she's ranked #1 at the women's tennis. The other medals where for Axel Merckx (cycling) and *forgot name* who does Judo.

Well I'm not really a huge sport fan, but right now I do like the Women's 3000m Individual Pursuit in Cycling and the womans double scull, because NZ has just won a gold medal in both of them.
YAY for Sarah Ulmer and Caroline & Georgina Evers-Swindell. YAY!
NZ only has 2 gold medals so far. In the last olympics I think we got 3

^Yeah i like cycling too
But the athletics sports are the ones that really counts... right?
And sweden is in the lead with 3gold medals. no other country has more then 1. Yup. I wish it could stay this way forever...
But that's kind of the "only" medals sweden has...
OoooOooO I know a sport olympic sport I do hate! BOXING! I mean what's the deal with that? Hitting someone?!?
But I do like the gymnastics. That's really cool And all the muscles... yummy
BTW did anyone saw the 5 minuits long boo-ing when the russian gymnast got too low score? The WHOLE audiens booed! That WAS awesome! And the judges changed the score too!

I like swimming alot, but I think that they need to cut back on the number of swimming events...it is kind of overkill right now. Gymnastics aren't bad either, along with diving. That is pretty much my favorites out of the summer events...I think there are alot of more exciting things to watch in the winter ones.
As for fixed judging, or judging conspiracies, I would like to think that the judges try to be fair for the most part. I am sure everyknow and then, you get ones with a slight bias, or that can be bribed, but I think they do there best. However, I did read that the guy that one in the Men's Gymnastic (Michael Hamms?) one by a judging error. So it is obvious that they need to be a little more careful, or wait until the results have been rechecked before releasing the final results.

I think the judging needs to be regulated a lot better. There's no reason for that "mistake" to have happened. And I don't think that Hamm(?) should have to give back the medal. He was told "X" is the score you have to beat. He did. It's not his fault it was the wrong score. And if he gave back his medal, the silver medalist, and bronze, would have to give theirs back, too. The best thing that can be done in this situation, IMO, is for the Olympic committee to just issue two golds. (it's been done before) Unless of course the Koreans didn't appeal on time.
