Sun Aug 15, 2004 2:19 pm Books anyone? |
|
I urgently need more space on my book shelves and so I decided to get rid of those Trek books which I don't read that often.
You'll find a list of the titles at The Promenade. There are 2 posts - one lists the English books, the other lists the German ones. The thread will be updated daily and the books will be sent to you asap (might take a while though, if you happen to live on the other side of the planet).
All titles are paperbacks. Except for the audiobooks, of course
I'm not selling them. The books are free and I'll pay for P&P. I'm glad if my books find good new homes.

I adore Star Trek books and I'm suprised that you're willing to give them away, but I'd be really grateful if you could spare these three books:
DS9
Objective: Bajor
(#17) The Heart Of The Warrior
(#1 Saratoga [once]
If you're willing, just pm me
You really have a heart of a warrior, L'ursa

yep, and as much space in my appartment as Morn has hair
I put you both in the list and will send you the books/CDs asap. Would you like to give me the addresses I shall send them to in PM or rather by phone or email?
Or I could give you my address and you snail mail me yours - that would propably be safest.
Gul Lemek, a parcel to you should take approximately 3-4 working days;
Solitary Poet, I'm afraid your books and CDs will take about 8-10 days by air mail due to the increased security level at the US airports atm.

LOL no prob. I hope you liked the packing material too *grin*
How are you getting on with the German book? Shall I send you the English version, too?
Sorry that I didn't reply earlier - I wasn't much online last week as I didn't feel well. Perfect teamwork: my colleagues booze and I feel sick

MSN has been offline for parts of Germany in the weekend and I worry that this might happen again. Seems a router was down or they are tinkering with their servers. In case you don't see me online, please send me a mail or PM me here.

Dirk, if you don't behave, I'll borrow Henry's big cast iron frying pan
Superwoman, it's 2 Spock vs Q CDs because I listened to them to make sure they have no scratches or flaws and I forgot to pack the second one into the parcel. I only discovered it in my CD player when I came back from the post office and so I sent it as a letter which then overtook the parcel.
So you got "Spock vs Q - The Sequel" first and then part 1 "Spock vs Q".
The jelly bears aren't poisonous (though they can do considerable damage to your waistline ). On the contrary - they have no artificial flavourings or colourings but only fruit juice. I prefer the forrest berry selection. Unfortunately, I am presently trying to partially dematerialize myself (in other words: I'm on a diet )
Seven of Nine, according to the guy at the post office, the parcel should take about 1 week so that you should get it by Friday. I couldn't pack any jelly bears though as the parcel would then have been heavier than permitted. But I think you'll like the waffles - they are a specialty from the Czech Republic. Living close to the border definitely has advantages *grin*

I got my package yesterday and I just love the Captains Table books, they are whimsical and I think Captain Nowan is really Captain Nemo because he knows about nuclear stuff and his wife and kid died the same way that Nemos did which was why Nemo was mad at the world. I wish I had asked for all of the Captains Table books but of course I dont wont to be greedy.
