Sat Jan 17, 2004 6:22 pm Constructive Criticism, Please |

I'd like to start seeing more ideas for possible future Star Trek series/movies. I'd also like to see more news, if anyone hears any, about the future of Star Trek.
However, when you respond to a post on someone's idea, you need to evaluate their ideas in a constructive manner--ie, don't tell them their idea "sucks," or ask "what were you thinking?!" If I see anyone being disrespectful to another person's ideas, they will get a warning.
Thanks!

I'd like to see a movie or show that follows the exploits of a command officer from roughly a couple of years after Starfleet Academy through to captaincy. This timeline could take place roughly in the late TNG through DS9 and the Dominion War, right up to and past Voyager's return. Then you could have lots of cameo's, borrow from the best parts of all the series and also follow-up / examine various loose ends that occured throughout the series. Ideas of this might include 'The Guardian of Forever' from TOS. That 'thing' that the Enterprise spawned in TNG, other battles during DS9 (maybe Section 31), the possible contact with Species 8472 that Starfleet could have had after the VOY episode wherein they discovered a replica Starfleet Academy. This series could follow the career of a Starfleet officer as well as ship transfers and promotions. Maybe throw in something like, during a battle with Borg was partially assimilated before being rescued so that, unlike Picard, all of the Borg components could not be removed. ie. like in First Contact we see that crewman with his forearm gone and it is replaced with a borg one. Then we could see how interacting with the crew on board the ships goes for the star of the show, especially Admiral Nechayev who obviously has a strong dislike for the Borg.

Captain Sulu - In range?
Helmsman - Not yet sir.
Captain Sulu - Come on, come on!
Helmsman - She'll fly apart.
Captain Sulu - Fly her apart then!!!

My idea for a movie(its simple):
The Q go to war with one another, and the Enterpirse-e gets pulled into the middle of it.

That would be a good idea but it was already done in an episode of voyager. I think it was called the Q and the gray, or something like that. pretty good episode in my opinion.
