Do you all think that Enterprise has overused Time Travel? I know they will go into the temporal cold war in season 4, but having it a prequel it is re writing history. I think that they have used to much of Daniels, throughtout the entire show. The creation of the Suliban and Xindi should never have been made (they should have had more conflict with one of the races that have appered in TOS/TNG/DS9)

I agree with you completely! I love the time paradoxes in the series. I don't mind them using it. Although i hate the misuse of the familiar aliens. I dont mind creating a few new species, instead of only rehashing the old ones. I kinda like the Xindi and Suliban to tell you the truth.

There has been no word about the Xindi or Sublian in the future, or the past as it is now. At the very end of the show im betting daniels will explain the use of other races.

Im sure there are billions of species in the Alpha quadrant alone. Perhaps the Xindi and the Suliban are a species that lives there and are never important to the politics of the future during DS9/VOY/TNG/TOS time period. Didn't Daniels say the Xindi would join the Federation?
I agree completely C99 about using the species we know. What happened to the first contacts? The First Contact with the klingons wasn't supposed to go well. I remember Picard saying that it went bad and they created some kinda first contact rule because of that.

Here is a timeline screw up from enterprise.
"Klingons TOS 027 - Errand of Mercy"
Thats the first ever meetingwith klingons, in TOS not ENT

Not necessarily. That was Kirk's first meeting with a Klingon, but I doubt that was First Contact. They simply knew way too much about each other for it to be a general introduction.

It's like Voyager, which used too much of the Borg. Each series has it's own plotline.

Yes, they overdo time travel. I remember Gene Roddenberry didnt like doing time travel, tried to avoid it somewhat, but now that hes gone, they waste it.

I think thye did over use it a bit, but it does kinda make you see how the temporal prome directive was created.

Okey, so you complain about Enterprise being too much like other shows, but when they try another direction (time travel), you complain about that too? Well... you're not easy to please, I guess.
I heard something about that Gene Roddenberry didn't like time travel, so that's why it isn't used very much in other shows, but I'd really like it if Enterprise explored the time travel-thingies, like a new theme. Sort of... thing...

If you're talking to me maybe you should read my posts more closely. Since when is Time travel a new direction!? You've got to be kidding me.

I agree with founder here, Time travel isn't new. But you say we complain about how it's not different from the other shows? It is a lot different. If it wasn't different then maybe it would be a lot better than what it really is.

I think time travel was over used a little. I don't know a thing about the temperal cold war but from what I've heard, I'm expecting a lot of time travel.
BTW, were the Xindi or Sullibon ever mentioned on TOS?

No, I think they were created specifically for ENT. They were never mentioned in any of the other shows.

No, they're completely new species.
I'm glad that they are creating new species instead of reusing too many old ones--I mean, I would never believe that the Tellarites have temporal technology. That would contradict the future timelines worse than the existence of the Xindi or Suliban has.
