This is probably really easy, but here.
1) Who was the only alien Grand Admiral?
2) Who was his Captain?
3) What was his ship?

Hey all; am going away for a couple of weeks; the annual "family holiday" is here. We are going camping near a place called "St. Davids" in South Wales. Anyway I thought I'd leave some questions but since I'm going away, I'll leave the answers underneath. Highlight them to read em.
What was the name of the Noghri that killed "the only alien grand admiral" (I won't give his name until the answers for the previous questions have been confired)?
What was the name given to the AT-AT which commanded the attack on Echo Base on Hoth?
Quote: | Answer: Blizzard 1 |
What is the official/ "proper" Imperial designation for the Imperial Interdictor cruiser?
Quote: | Answer: Immobiliser 418 |

News
There are post NJO books scheduled to come out in 2005 and 2006.
The title to the trilogy is:
Star Wars: Dark Nest
The first book:
The Joiner King
Second:
The Unseen Queen
Third:
The Swarm War
And apparently Raynar is one of the main characters.
So, this is kinda more on the fantasy side rather then sci-fi...
There's more information about the books on www.theforce.net incase anyone wants to check it out.
Aaron Allston and Troy Denning are also scheduled to write a 9 book post NJO series...with an unannounced third author. I think the above trilogy is by Denning...not sure though.
Wow, sorry for all the blabbering...this is a hella long post.

Hey all - I'm back!
Just been looking over theforce.net and there's been quite a bit of news while I've been gone lol.
Am looking forward in particular to that Allston series - I love his sense of humour in his Wraith X-Wing books in particular lol....I wish they'd "relaunch" that series - the X-Wing books were ace though I got to admit Corran was a bit unbearable at first lol.
While I was away I got "The Cestus Deception" - it's quite good but for some reason I don't think they're as good as classic Star Wars - The Thrawn trilogy is probably still the best lol.
I saw the paperback of The Unifying Force while I was away but never thought to look at it. I was wondering last night if they had included Ylesia in with it at all? I've already printed it out () but for the sake of a complete collection I'd probably buy the paperback if it were in lol.

2. Who was the Admiral who was the Emporer's pilot and slave for a while?
3. What does the "TIE" in TIE Fighter stand for?

Oh, Ackbar was Tarkin's slave. I read something about the Emporer having a slave somewhere. Huh.

Mara Jade was the Emperor's Servant or "Hand" if you're meaning her - I didn't know she would have taken Vader's place if he had turned against the Empire at Hoth...

I'm having to commit a dreadful sin here people; I'm selling my NJO collection (and possibly the rest of my Star Wars books collection) as I need the dosh for uni.
My NJO collection is now on eBay at the address below in case anyone is interested in getting the whole set in one go.

Lol - I didn't really expect anyone to bid so no pressure or anything lol.
On the other hand if you really are interested you could make me an offer though as I say I wasn't really expecting anyone to respond so no pressure.
I've also put some Micro Machines on as well:

I went on the newest (I think) Star Wars game at a mate's house today. "Battlefront" is pretty good; it was only a demo where you got to play as either the Rebels or Imperials on Endor but it was pretty good...running through the trees with AT-STs stomping their way through in front of you and speederbikes whizzing around you - it captured the atmosphere quite well I thought

If noone makes a bid at all, I'd be willing to make an offer. 6 days oughta be enough time to come up with something fair. By the way, how much is 20 pounds in American dollars?

According to http://www.forex-markets.com/converter.htm 20.00 GBP is $36.33 USD though I'll have to check postage costs to send it abroad but we can sort that out if and when we come to it.

Well the books are gone (Got 70 for them in the end - woohoo) and I thought I'd use my amazing Jedi skills (or not) to revive this stagnant topic and ask the monumental question:
Why are they re-releasing the Episode 1 and 2 DVDs?
OK so it was hardly ground-breaking (no ground broke near me at least) but I just looked on Amazon and the prequels are listed as being released within a week or so of the upcoming trilogy boxset.
I've looked at the content of the new dvds and they look identical in terms of appearance and content. Anyone know why they've been re-released?

This topic seems rather dead as of late...
I just read on www.theforce.net that a Star Wars TV show has been confirmed after Episode 3 has been completed. Doesn't sound like Lucas will be directly involved in it though - the article mentions him handing it on as he did with the novels.
Am still not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing...rumour has it that it's most likely to be set between Episode 3 and Episode 4 though...
