You say that you don't like Bush but post that statement. May you tell me if you ARE a Conservative and if so if you are a radical one, like Michael Savage.

Hey guys, I just voted Moderatly Liberal.

Let me tell you why. I am a registered Democrat but I vote whoever I want to.
I believe in seperation of church and state (but not to an exteme, you should be allowed to say Under God in the pledge)

I am Pro-Choice (to a point, I don't believe late term abortions should be allowed, like partial Birth abortions, THat is WRONG, early first trimester I think is ok - preferably before the heart beat shows)

I don't think Gays should have marriages, but I do think that Civil Unions should be more of an equal alternative.

And I'm for Kerry, but not totally against Bush.
That's all I can think of now. So that is my politcal stance!

Well, I hold a lot of socialist views, and am a member of the Socialist Worker's Party, but here's what I believe.

Since I've actually been in that position, I'm pro-choice, to an extent. I believe that abortion should be allowed up until about 8-9 weeks, since until then the baby isn't aware of itself. (it's also the point where a embryo becomes a fetus). After 9 weeks I wouldn't even contemplate an abortion, but that is me. However, I've always had this feeling that things would have been better if I hadn't had Samantha, and I've come dangerously close to hurting her (instead, I hurt myself, but that's another story).

I think that Gays should have all the legal right to marry, even if it's not a religious ceremony. Call it what you like, but they should have the same rights as any other couple.

I also believe that religion is the opium of the people, but a very good one So long as it doesn't cloud your judgement too much, there's nothing wrong with it. It should also be completely seperate from the state (although in this country the Queen is the head of the Church of England, she doesn't have much to do with the everyday running of the country).

Discrimination should be outlawed, but also I think Political Correctness has gone too far. Someone once said to me I shouldn't dress Sammie in pink because it encourages sexism! I'll dress her in pink, and purple, blue, green, yellow and any other colour I like, thank you very much

Anyway, that's my little ramble, I'll go hide from RM now

Well, I somewhat agree with that...SOMEWHAT.

No, they should not have the legal right to marry, but they could have Civil Unions, even though I'm opposed to that as well.

I also believe that religion is the opium of the people, but a very good one So long as it doesn't cloud your judgement too much, there's nothing wrong with it. It should also be completely seperate from the state (although in this country the Queen is the head of the Church of England, she doesn't have much to do with the everyday running of the country).

Religion does NOT necessarily "cloud your judgement." And the government should be able to speak relgious things and do relgious things, as long as they don't force one religion over all others and/or make a specific religion the country's religion.

Discrimination should be outlawed, but also I think Political Correctness has gone too far. Someone once said to me I shouldn't dress Sammie in pink because it encourages sexism! I'll dress her in pink, and purple, blue, green, yellow and any other colour I like, thank you very much

Agreed. Oh, but discrimination is NOT allowing Gays to marry.

Anyway, that's my little ramble, I'll go hide from RM now

I did say you can call it what you like... Civil Unions that give the same rights as married couples are perfectly acceptable

And since most religious things are good I've no problem with leaders living by their rules, so long as it, as you said, doesn't force their religion over all other religions. And for most people religion doesn't cloud their judgement, but for some it does.

And Kyre, it's very scary when you realise you were that close from killing your child... I never want to be in that situation again.

Yup, that's her... But we best stop, we're slightly off topic, unless I mention that she also attends Socialist meetings

Well why doesn't the child get a choice in the matter? Who is speaking for the child? Why does everyone just care to make sure the mother gets a choice? Does the kid not have a voice?
