That is your minium wage there 7.05 wow bigger than in the south. Here at a burger place is $4.28. If to get a job making $7.28 have to be in a mill or something else. When charlie was an assistant manager at Hardees before he joined back in the army back in 2001, he was making 9 dollars an hour. THat ain't to bad. In the army is awhole lot better pay I must say. We are very blessed. He is making way more than 9 dollars an hour. Every two weeks it is 900 dollars and he is getting a pay raise in the next month and it is going up. So 1000, bucks be cool every two weeks. We can survive off that. Plus when he goes back to Iraq he gets more for being over there. So I get his money. Cause I have to pay bills, and buy groceries. Clothes for kids.
I spoiled. but there are people worse off than me that I feel for. I wish I could help them out and starting. I am already saving money for the foundation I am gonna start for the homeless and pregnant women.
But it is building in another account. Cause I want to help people.

Speaking of minimun wage, this might sound intresting to all of you.
In Canada if your under 16 they can pay you less than minmium wage.

Sucks to be Canada. If I was under 18, I would get 15 minute breaks. Instead, I am stuck with 10. LOL, I stand around and try to convince my manager to let me work during my break.

Bah, I get $7.05 / hour. But also, you guys pay more for stuff. So its probably not more! Also, you have the like 14% sales tax. LOL.

Yeah, that sales tax thing is suicidal. Thank goodness when you come back to the US, you can get some of it returned to you. Whew.

Minimum wage here is 3.80 for 18-21, 4.20 (I think) for 21+. They can pay you what they like at under 18, but they're introducing a minimum wage in soon. The paper shop won't take me on as a paper girl now because they'd have to pay me the minimum wage, which would be 22.80 for two days, instead of 12

Yah, the other people go so damn fast! I take it a little slower to make sure its done exactly right. And im always asking questions. As I do it more and more though, I will get more used to it, and I will be alot faster. I am just new right now, but I will be kicking ass soon.
I pre-closed! I got to do all these little things to prepare for the next day. This long list of like 9 things! It was awesome. 3 days, and ive already pre-closed.
Ill own the place soon. You will see.

Good for you man, closeing is always good, you can make sure everything is all ready to go if you have to work the next morning! In my job, closeing takes about 2 hours, but we always have 2 people.

Pre-closing took me an hour. I got to:
1. Change all the garbage bins.
2. Clean out the grease holders for the grills.
3. Make sure everyone still working was given a 10 minute break.
4. Make sure enough boxes were cut for tomorrows food.
5. Wash dishes.
6. Clean the small grill and the speciality bar.
7. Check off the food wastes and clean them out. (what burgers we made and had to throw away)
8. Take the garbage to the dumpster.
9. Smash boxes and take them to the recycling.
10. Sweep everything.
Its fun actually, because I get paid for these insanely easy tasks!

I'm only 14 and I've wasted 2 weeks of my summer hols since I was 11 working at a christian holiday club for 5-10yrs. it was volunteer work, but I gained good life skills, free sweets and stuff to go on my Resume! This year I wasn't gonna do it, but they'd had more applicants so I got paid 50 (that's about $80) to work for a week with the cutest, nicest, sweetest 5yr olds in the world! How great is that? That's about the same amount a paper round guy gets working 8hrs a week for 9 months!
Now I have cash, shall la la lal la
