Speaking of the beach I really like to go to the beach for some surfing right about now.
"The only rule in this area is talk about beaches, surfing, and other things fun on the waters."
Any other surfers in this site?

The closest thing I have to a pool, let alone an ocean or lake, is a standing pool of water in my backyard. My family and I used to live in a house with a pool, but we moved. I like the beach a lot though. The last time I was at a beach was in 2001 in Oceanside(or was it Riverside), California. It was fun. I hope I can go back to the beach soon.

I have never been to a real "beach" in my life. I have been to a small one but it really doesn't count only because it was so small. I want to surf some time but I doubt that i would be able to stand on it for more than a second. Then I would be in the water soaked.

I usually go to Huntington Beach or Malibu Beach in California for the summer because it is cleaner than most beaches in Cali.
I surf mostly smaller waves since that I what I find when I go the the beach.
I really do hate going to the beach because I live in Vegas and I would have too drive to California and it takes 4 to 5 hours of driving in the hot desert.

Most West Coast beaches are free except for the parking which I have too pay for that. Seven bucks to park on the beach parking lot.

I live beside the sea, but where I am it's pretty cold water. You can go, but not for that long or you would have to get a wetsuit or drysuit. I have been windsurfing near here though, but that was on a loch (lake, but we have funny names for them here in Scotland, ).

I live 45 minutes to an hour from Tybee Island beach in Savannah Georgia. I love Tybee and so does my kids. They feed the sea gulls potatoe chips and try to chase after them. Whatever the birds name anyway, Ithink they sea gulls.

One good thing about living in NZ, from anywhere, at most, you only drive 2-3 hrs to the beach. And the places where it's that much, it's like a 20 minute drive to the largest lake in NZ, which has a beach in it

I don't understand how you've never been to the beach!!!
Has anyone ever seen a beached whale on the closest beach to you?

I live about an hour's drive from our beach. We have a small coast line but it'll do.
Normaly we don't have any whales in our neighbourhood however, some whales do get stranded on our beaches when they get lost...

The indians in our area do a yearly whale hunt. The government lets them do it for their traditions. Its total *beep*. They should stick to the casinos, not killing endangered species.
