The borg queen is not "The" but "we" I being plural each drone can only exist for a certan time, same goes for queenie. they have sevral more "Made to order" queens sitin lotsa diferent places. the borg queen as "her identity" is not a species. But a computer program with a personality, that can be transered from one location to another as easily as this.

It is possible. The Borg queen isn't a person, but more of an entity with a body. When that body is destroyed, she moves on to a new body.

picard shot one on the holodeck once, in First Contact, plus at some point im sure their shields would adapt to stop incoming projectiles
