Faded Within (Lyrics I wrote)

I was bored last night so I tried writing some lyrics. First time I've ever tried so I thought I'd get some feedback


Faded Within

Throughout his life of sin
His life all torn within
His soul a shattered wreck
A constant spiral to abyss

The dark fog throughout his mind
His true life he has yet to find
A love of hatred fills
And jealousy reveals

Darkness has come over him
Filling his heart with a tearless sin
He continues fighting within
Though he knows he cannot win

Down his body falls
His mind out of control
His soul and heart do flow
Under, under does he go

Light does not shine
His will too far behind
His fiery eyes to embers
Soon they shall go dim

Through this fight he has
Fought within his soul
An old man stares at him
That old man is his mind
Which grows ever old with time
His sadness it decays
It withers ever on
Until its dying day

His life now fades away
His sadness lives on they say
Now the entire world must pay
For in sadness he will stay.

Very nice. I'm not much of a song writer, but I am a damn good poet if I say so myself. Sounds like something Edgar Allan Poe would have written.
