So what do you guys think of the new Stargate SG-1 Spinoff??? Is it going to be good, or a bust???

Not sure, although I do intend to watch it, It sounds a little corny, although I guess you can't really be sure until you watch, hmmm.

Yes, definately. McCay's two appearances on SG1 have established him as a fun character, and Dr Weir's appearance on SG1 last Friday established that she could be interesting as well.

Meh, I dont like Stargate. And I think they are trying to play off the success of another series, to do new stuff. I dont think it will be good at all.

Why don't you like it?

Please don't say anything about how O'Niell is "unprofessional".....that seems to be the most common reason why people dislike SG1. And invariably, those people change their minds about O'Niell when they see him in context, watching the series from the start.

As for ATL "playing off the success of another series".....yeah. Sure it is. All spinoffs do-----and that includes every Trek series since TNG.

I plan on at least giving it a try. I love SG-1, and the Wraith look scary as hell.

Well, I like to give everything a chance (apart from the upcoming Catwoman movie-I just can't get excited about it).

I do like the original. I just hope it can be as good as it's parent show.

You just never know. Some spin-off's are good such as Law & Order:Special Victims Unit and Law & Order:Criminal Intent (both spun-off from Law & Order). On the other side of the coin, you get shows such as CSI:Miami which I don't think is as good as CSI.

Let's hope it's good.

Its not going to be bad.

Actually its going to be a great series.

This might actually make people want to watch stargate more often.

I don't think so. Looks like Jack is only going to be in the pilot, and as Lindley mentioned, McCay is going to be a character (but he only made two appearances on SG-1).

Jack and Daniel will both be in the pilot. Appearances by Sam and Teal'c later on have been hinted at, but they can't appear in the pilot for legal reasons.

Is Doctor Weir going to be in Atlantis? In the previews, that one lady looks like here.
