PostSat Jul 03, 2004 2:26 pm    The Cage

I assume a lot of you have seen The Cage, which was the original Trek pilot episode.

It starred Jeffrey Hunter as Captain Pike (Leonard Nimoy was in it too as Spock). It sees the Enterprise answer a distress call from a planet where natives are looking for specimans to keep in their zoos.

It wasn't too bad an episode and Hunter performed well as Pike. However, when I first saw it, it didn't exactly thrill me that much and I don't think it could have developed into a long-running series.

The next pilot, Where No Man Has Gone Before, was much better and one of my favourites, being a very scary episode where one of Kirk's crewmates gains ESP powers and becomes godlike and insane.

But getting back to The Cage, it is worth a serious look.

WOW! I've just watched that episode! And I was thinking about doing a topic about it!!! Creepy!

Anyway *deep breath* what I was planing to say was that I thought it was a great episode. Can't understand why no one have told me that I should watch TOS. Well people Have told me I should do that... but no one have really ment it... i think.

A few ship-from-string-effects that bugged me thou: In the cage, Pike saw a few animals/monsters. One monkey and one that looked like an ostrich (I think) and one that you couldn't see. You could only se the shaddow. And by the look of it, I think the monster was a big hand!!! AAAAA!!! I was so intimidated that I almost couldn't watch anymore...
And that woman stranded at a planet with a dozen 80year old men. Wouldn't at least someone in the crew go: What! A young woman stranded with a bunch of oldies, wears perfect make up, and has a beutyful close-fitting dress... ALIEN!!! Or at least: Wonder which one is gay...

I just thought it was so funny, liked it thou. Thught it was a good pilot ep.

Superwoman, are you saying you've been thinking about The Cage too?

Could the three of us have been the same person before splitting into three?

Could we be The Borg?

Chocho_11, I know NOTHING about computers or computer terminology at all. What is an IP check?

You can't resist mentioning my foot fetish can you, Superwoman?

It is funny though, on a forum, when you meet someone who has been having the same thoughts as you.

Thank you, Chocho_11. I am Stone Age man when it comes to computers or computer terminology. Now if only I could figure out what half of the error messages mean when my dial-up suddenly fails.

Superwoman, soft, well-cared for feet belonging to a fine lady are great and should be appreciated like a work of art. I assume you keep yours in good shape.

I allways keep them in excellent shape. I can't stand my feet dry! specailly not dry feet against dry cotton, or what's it called... a foam rubber madress... that's the worst! I allways have to keep my feet soft, otherwise I would die. It's like nails scratch the black board! AHHHHH!
I admit it, I Am truely addictive to skin cream.

Glad to hear it, Superwoman.

But it's near impossible to keep one's feet perfect in this day and age where we have to wear shoes all the time. You know, if only it was acceptable to walk round barefoot all the time (even at work), then everyone's feet would be fine.

Care to share you Footcare Tips? How do you keep them in excellent shape?

If everyone walked around barefoot, their feet would get all hard, with big fat layers of extra skin... doesn't sound that wonderful...

I just use regular skin lotion to my feet, and every now and then I polish them up a bit And they'll get soft like an andriod's bottom

You polish your feet! What with? I hope it's not shoe polish or furniture polish.

Seriously though, feet that are in shoes constantly suffer problems. Feet are there to be walked on. I am amazed at the amount of people I know who wear shoes around the house. My advice-get them off and let your bare feet savour the carpet. Do you agree, Superwoman?

Naa I polish my feet with one of those stone...thingy... You know...
And I forgot you guys have shoes indoor. We don't. I belive the Chinese and the Sweeds are the one who don't use shoes indoors... Or maybe some more countries...
It's so disgusting when someone has shoes on in the bed! Yuck! I mean Micke knows what you've stept on...!

And wouldn't you agree that the feel of bare feet on a carpet is the most wonderful feeling in the world?

Gosh, I can't believe we're talking about feet on a Trek forum.

I don't really know why. It's just a creapy feeling. It's the same feeling like when you got a broken nail and stuff get stuck on that splinter or whatever it's called... Hmmm... What was I talking about...? O right The cage!

Anyway this summer, I work in a kitchen at a old-people's home and I make all the food for those who can't eat the regular food, and today I made mashed potatoes (well I DID made other stuff too). When I had finished there where still mashed potatoes remaining... I had to clean up, and when I did I notised that mashed potatoes feels good... And I acctually thought "This feels soooo soft! I could stick my feet into this!"

So yeah... ..Is there a greater feeling then get to step in mashed potatoes? (If you say yes, then I don't belive you have tried it)

Well, it wouldn't be right for me because I don't really like potatoes. Maybe I'd dip my foot in steak or something.

Well, I must say, it has been fun to talk about feet. Glad to know you think I'm pretty normal (well, relatively normal).

You don't have to eat the potatoes! You just stick your feet in it I like potatoes but I still wouldn't eat it if my feet had been there! Steak.... hmmm... might work... Or crme caramel! Anything jelly would probebly do. You try it and tell me what you think.

Kind of cool no one has looked this topic, don't you think

Well, it's a fun topic. Like any discussion, it's gone off-topic.

Feet in jelly-yes that might be quite cool. Or strawberry ice cream.

As long as you look after your feet, it shouldn't matter what you dip them into.

So, do you like feet too?

Strawberry ice cream! Ow. Cold. A hot summerday maybe... The classic one "wet sand" allways works thou.

I don't really like feet... I use my feet for walking and I would probebly miss them if someone choped them of, so I guess I do like them, but I don't like them - like them... you know... And it also seems like I just can't ignore the subject, don't know why...
