Don't be an *beep*, k?
And why don't some of you do your own research now and then, instead of having someone else do it for you? He has ADMITTED lying. It has been PROVEN he lied. And from what I see, "popular belief" is either one extreme or the other.
The last line of your post was purely antagonistic. And yes, that is MY view. I've talked to you before, and you know that I will answer sincere questions. Don't *beep* with me, 'cause I'm really not in the mood. Ever.
And Mark, yeah, you are one to talk about "closed minds". |
So I can't question something you post? Both the question and the asking for you to go easy on me, were genuine, like I said in the post. Also, I have actually done my own research now and again. Where do you think I found out about Charlton Heston's full uncut speech? Or Moore cleverly editing a piece in his new film?
Maybe next time I have a question for you, you may actually believe that it's not slander.

That completly depends on how your veiw of things are.....I do not really see what the big problem is....so he stayed with the kids reading to them a few more minutes? Maybe not the best choice? I don't know. However, it seems very undignified to criticize the President's handling of 9/11. No one has any idea what was going through his mind, we are only given a slight hint when we see clips of him being told, and seeing the grave look on his face. Perhaps he did not want to upset the kids by leaving them right away, which would have caused them to ask why he was leaving. Then in return the teachers would have been faced with either telling them about it, or not. I do not know, and frankly, you don't either. Let's not judge him on that. Overall he handled it superbly.

No, but i've seen Bowling for Columbine, and I KNOW that he lied all thru that movie.
Scenes where he got a handgun from a bank, and got one from a K-Mart were absolutely staged, and completely false.

So, Kyre, if you were aware that he had been caught lying, and had admitted it, why did you question what I said?
And I never said you couldn't question my post. Your action causes a reaction, but, yeah, I guess that's all just me. w/e. Back on topic.
And Mark, what was Bush supposed to do, alarm all of those people in that classroom? At the time, they thought it was an accident. Tragic, yes, but not warranting presidential intervention.

I didn't know he had admitted to lying. All I knew was that he had used clever editing to very much bend the truth. i.e. Yes, Heston made that speech, but he didn't say it in that order. It was taken out of context, making him look evil. So it's not a lie, just good documentary making really.

If I made a speech, saying, "I hate chocolate. Jews are nice." And someone edited it so it said "I hate Jews.", they have lied.

He is right. Michael Moore don't know what went on over nor do I but the soldiers does cause they are over there risking their lives for even you who bash Bush and talk bad about the war in Iraq when it was justified to get rid of the evil man Saddam.
Pity my husband is going back in fours months and people are still fighting about this. I guess you all know how to make a soldier like my husband feel when he is going to fight for what is right and keep your butt safe.
I don't want to start no arguement here but this discussion is getting on my nerves. I am taking myself to another topic until I cool down.

I wonder if your views would be different if Charlie wasnt in the service...
And I never felt in danger. Saddam never threatened us, never attacked us, nothing.

My views would not be any different. you didnt answer me Defiant. Was you over there? No you was not. Therefore you don't know what went on like our soldiers fighting for your behind. And he was planning on something cause they had WMDS. I am going to get a link by Thursday to prove it.

You have answered the question for me twice. Why would I answer it?
Deb, you cant make an entire movie based on lies. They wouldnt release it. It would be proven to be lies, and it would be taken off screens. Also, ive heard that Mike has a team of lawyers that sue anyone who calls him a liar (from the media at least). This is further proof that his movie isnt full of lies!

But Michael Moore did it. he is a liar you are blinded by your democratic views and your hatred for Bush.
Ok, here is my proof.

go to WMDS
then click on countries
click on Iraq
then go to Biological
Chemical

I heard on the news today that Ray Bradberry, the writer of fahrenheit 4-11, said that moore took the name of his book and used part of it and witout permission. he also said that he in no way supports Moore.
another thing disney origianally financed moore but when the movie was finished they refused to release it. Moore then had to find someone to finance its release. as far as telling lies and removing movies. as long as someone believes it and buys it they will produce it. just look at the supermarket tabloids.

I think probably in the few months running up to the onset of the conflict, I think there was probably an intensive effort to disperse into private hands, to bury it, and to move it outside the country's borders."

Mostly Speculation and Guess work. Look at all the "Thinks" and "believes"
All that's is said in the Chemical weapons section is entirely in the Biological Weapons section. Waste of time for me to read that.
All of what's said in UN Documents is what we already know. Found Supplies that related to Missle Propellant, and stuff about unresolved disarmarment issues
Not much proof here.
oh, and just because Moore has twisted some facts doesn't mean that everything he says is a lie. He does exactly what the media, The presidents and everyday people do; He leaves out some information.

First of all the military is not a lie Link. Don't even go there. you must not even read everything. You only quote parts you see fit. I rather trust the military than I would the crappy media. Media lies and spinns things around to the Democratic views. Note military stands for Truth, honor , loyality and just. some dont keep it but 100% keep that.

Saddam never threatened us? What about when he threatened to use a Scud armed with serin gas on New York city?
The only reason he didn't is because of "the phone call" Bush Sr. made threatening retaliation.
How about the fact that he wanted to (and in a few cases, did) launch attacks against our bases in Israel, Kuwait and Elsewhere?
Saddam was not an iminant threat to the common U.S. citizen, i'll admit, but being lethargic about these things only makes them bigger. If only the U.S. had nuked Hiroshima and Nagasaki the day BEFORE Pearl Harbor, think what might be different.

First of all Link, I did show proof. I showed and you say its a waste of time cause you fail to read everything. And military is more reliable than the media.
'
'And it seems to show you and defiant don't know what went on except by the lying media. So you say the soldiers a lie, guess how you think of your country and military who defends you butt.

Bush senior! A completely different campaign! Bush senior might have had a reason to attack, I dont know. But we sure as hell didnt now. There were no threats this time around.
And maybe we shouldnt have bases in every *beep* country in the world! I mean, whats our problem? Why does the US need to have a hand in every other countries affairs? THAT is why the terrorists hate us.

The terrorists hate us because the presidents try to be the police of the world. All of them do it. Clinton did Kosovo, and all the presidents before him too. Bush took it too far though, with all this *beep*.
Besides that, terrorists dont like that we are all lazy, in the lapt of luxury, and completely secure. They hate our way of life.
Now if youll excuse me, I am extremely tired, and cant read words anymore.
