It was a good ending until the end of it. Damn writers and their need to play with the timeline.

Haha...man, you're in for a surprise. Let's just that the end left me saying "WTF was that?" quite a number of times.

Maybe this was just something to get there ratings up at the beginning of next season. I know I will definatly not miss the intro to season 4 after this.

To me it didn't look like someone was playing with time. If they were everything on the planet would have reverted, but before they are attacked by the planes it is clearly said:
"Looks pretty normal to me."
I took that to mean that Earth is as it was, just the people aren't. Therefore i thought of mind control or something, like those devices the Hirogen used during "The Killing Game" from Voyager which made them believe they were a part of the holodeck scenario.

But Anubis, they were in a War with those old planes so even if the Earth hadn't gone back in time they would have been fighting with more technological advancements surely?

I think two timelines have just got mixed.

I bet since it's a new series they will clean up the timeline mess really fast and then just move on to something completely different.

Perhaps Future Guy did something. After all, he is the one who told Archer about the Xindi, so he could have done something (or tried to do something) while they were gone.

"And tell Archer we're not even anymore! HE... OWES... ME!!!"
- Commander Shran to Degra's ship.

Has to be one of the better-timed quotes in Enterprise!
