PostSat Jun 05, 2004 6:59 am    What computer game should be made into a film?

Looking back, many movies adapted from games have been poor. I hated movies such as Super Mario Bros. and Tomb Raider. Some have been good though. I personally enjoyed Resident Evil.

However, there are some games which I think would be good if adapted and brought to the big screen? What games do you think would make good movies?

My choices would be Splinter Cell and Metal Gear Solid. If any games deserved to be made into movies, then they are the ones.

What would your choices be?

I don't think so. Who would play our dearest Gordon!? There is no actor who could portray our God, Gordon Freeman

I don't play that many games anymore, but I'd say Grand Theft Auto.

Grand Theft Auto:Vice City might make a good movie but seeing as the game was set in the 80's, could a movie recapture the 80's spirit we all loved?

One game that NEEDS to be made into a movie is Tetris.

It is possible, believe me I just saw a commercial for a mobile phone that was able to do it, surely professional filmmakers can do it

Grand Theft Auto Vice City is an amazing game that would make an excellent movie but since the new game is coming out in a few months depending on that and since I think its set in normal time that may be an easier movie to make

Sonic the Hedgehog would be interesting even if it probably wouldn't work that well.

I'm not sure if this is true,
it's not from a game, but related to the Myst Series, they were going for the Myst Mini-series titled "Mysteries". It was to be the books written, may just one, i don't know. It all could just be rumors.

i think that
DIABLO II
Star Trek: Bridge Commander
Star Trek: Shattered Universe
Warcraft III

Should be made into films, but i wouldn't say any others. Accept for GTA vice city that should be as well

Diablo and Warcraft would be cool movies. Warcraft would be computer-generated of course. Hell, I think Blizzards cutscene-makers should do the film, should there be one

I dunno, cos look at Final Fantasy the movie, It didnt do too well and it cost more than Terminator 3 which had a budjet of 120 Million.

So they've seen this happen so i dunno if they would do it.
