cuz one of my old friends (not friends anymore) said that there wasn't any intrepid class ships in DS9

but then again he also said that federation ships couldn't have a cloak cuz of there shape, and that the borg were never seen in it even though they were in Emissary pt1

Every class of starship is in DS9. Simply because they have giant task forces and fleets going after the Dominion, and in war, etc. Of course there were Intrepid class starships in it.

And i never saw them in the task forces, i never saw a soveriegn class either.

Then you have to see the last episode from the 5th season and the beginning of the 6th. There are a lot ships there crumpled together. It was jaw dropping.

I'm fairly sure that there weren't any Sovereigns or Intrepids in those fleets though (though thats not to say that there weren't any - though I'm pretty sure there weren't

).

Possibly because some viewers might jump to conclusions - thinking that just because a Sovereign is shown, it must be the Enterprise and that the Intrepid must be Voyager.

That's (presumably) why there is only ever 1 Defiant seen in those battle scenes despite at least one more existing (two were seen fighting alongside an Akira in the Voyager episode "Message in a Bottle) so that the audience knows that that ship MUST be the Defiant...

The Intrepid in the DS9 episode was only seen a couple of times...
