I say that STV.com gets a free chat system set up.
A great way is by using www.sigmachat.com and creating one using basic there. My chat can be found at my site at www.ionicstarfleetsimulation.com but I say you start one here and link to it in a post...
It would be great!

It's a neat idea, but I believe the main purpose of having a forum is to overcome the time zone problem with chatting.

You can find all sorts of people on line any time of the day. When I go into a chatroom, I find people from Africa, India, Germany, and Japan. Guess cause sometimes I stay up late when I feel like it.

I like the idea but most chatrooms are Java powered and well my comp sucks it doesn't have Java so what if we made a MSN Chat group that way it would work for everyone.

I say we just use a simple Java chat, on my site i've been using it for around a year now and theres never any downtime that i've noticed. And all we'd have to do would be to create a new page and just stick the code in. If anyone wants the code then just ask and i'll post it.

Gee why am I not shocked when you said you wouldn't get it. Oh well I tried to use your little chat guess what big surprise it needs Java... Anyway I still think MSN is better you don't need awhole bunch of stuff to make it run.

like the idea but not a java chat room I am looking into (trying to find it again) a html based chat room where you can have avatars on it.
I ve got it here some where just got to find it again.
when I find it and get it working I ll post it on here. but when I did a chat room a while back not many people used it as of the time differances between us people got sick of coming on and no body being there.
a chat is a good idea if your prepared to sit on it all day.
