That funeral was excellent. I like Margaret Thatcher, Former President Bush's eulogy was... very good.

It was so sad when Mrs. Reagan broke down at the end of the California service. In my experience, actually leaving the body is what kills you. We were in the room when my Great-Grandmother died. It was very emotional, yes, but the pain didn't come until we had to leave her there.
It must've all been so surreal for her this past week.
Someone at work, a customer told me they heard this on ABC News. (It was after he was diagnosed w/ alzheimers) Someone gave Ronald Reagan a small snowglobe of the White House, he thanked them, and they left. Nancy came up to him and asked him what it was, he held it up and said, "I don't know, but I think it has something to do with me." I think it's incredibly sad that the did the world so much good, and couldn't even remember it.

I must be mad, because Margaret Thatcher did a lot of harm to this country, but I think I'd rather have her than Bliar as Prime Minister.
(Kai, do you think you could get that home movie on the net? )
The funeral was very touching... I hope that Nancy will be able to move on, and that people will remember Reagan for the good he did.

Okay, in my opinion, from what I've seen Margarat Thatcher was a GREAT Prime Minster, and from what I've heard I agree, and a great friend to Reagan.
But anyway, about the funeral--
I'm not old enough to remember AT ALL the Reagan years, but from I actually started crying somewhat. It really hit me when Nancy broke down at the end.
It's a sad time, a time of mourning. It was a GREAT cermony, and has at last come to an end--no more intense suffering for Nancy Reagan.

Ok, well your from sweden, so it's somewhat understandable.
Ronald Reagan was President from 1981-1989.
He:
-Is responsable for ending the Cold War
-Brought the US economy from the WORST EVER since the Great Depression to the BEST EVER!
-Was a great man
-Ah, heck, I'll post my report on him soon!

Is there anything that isn't good about him? Did he do anything bad? I'd like to know every side, so i can make my own judgment of him

I'll post my report soon, but let's just say that he was good enough and well-liked enough that he won 49 of 50 states in his 2nd election.
However, Liberals, perhaps people like you, HATED him--Bush would be their most hated person, followed by him...
He lowered taxes during a time of great defense spending, but kept everything up good. It brought the economy of the US up GREATLY. Now, I warn you: Your mind will be taking in different things once anti-Reagan people get a word in...

ok. thx! If it wan't for u, I guess I would just be listening to the ones who hated him. But I like to know both the good and the bad about everything.
And I'm not Liberal, I'm more to the left then that! Here Liberals are to the very right on the scale, just so u know. Maby you would call me communist? anyway why is communists a bad thing? I'm terrible at history, has it anything to do with that? I can't understand why communist sometimes seems like an insult...

Communism has yet to work. It's a lovely, idealistic theory. However, that's all I personally could call it: A Theory. Doesn't work in practice. Equality for everyone certainly sounds good, but the Human race can't work that way (I'm not refering to racism here, mind) Not a real-world solution. *ahem* Opinion, of course, but a founded one.
Anyway... *bows* Reagan was a wonderful political figure. He will be missed, and by myself and many others, fondly remembered.

Yea I know that communism is great on paper but hard to make work practically... But why does some think communism is bad?

It is my opinion that MOST people see communism as bad.
I'll use myself, as an example:
-It is a decent THEORY, as B'Ellanna kindly pointed out.
-However, it cannot, nor has ever, worked and is a bad system.
=If ALL People get the SAME things, then there is little incentive to work hard
=Those that work hard aren't rewarded as well as those that sit on the couch doing nothing.
=It is a GOVERNMENT system with extreme socialist views--The government controls ALL aspects of society--ALL. And that is wrong.
