Star Wars: The New Empire

Just a little note before I start. This is based after the last Star Wars movie.

Luke Skywalker walked down the corridor cautiously, watching for anyone to appear. It was dangerous in the Star Destroyer, but Luke had a mission. He had to get the location of the Tantiss Mountain weapons stockade. If the remaining factions of the Empire got to it first, they could destroy the New Republic. It had been hard enough to get a shuttle with proper clearance, and then get someone to actually fly him in. He checked his chrono. "5 minutes left." he muttured to himself. He had five minutes to find the location, and get back to the ship. He came up on the main computer room. This was the most risky part of the entire operation. He punched in the code, hoping it was right. The doors opened, and Luke slowly walked in, setting the door to close after he had gotten the information, and left. He walked up, used the same code to access the computer. "Come on, come on. Where is it." he muttered. "There it is. On Endor, in the old base." Luke put in a datacard, downloaded all of the information, then left the room. Slowly, he walked into the shuttle bay, staying hidden, and going behind boxes. When noone was there, he ran up the ramp, and nearly collided with Lando. "You all ready to go Lando?" asked Luke. "Yeah, let's go. You were cutting it a little close there." said Lando. "I know." said Luke. The freighter lifted off, then blasted out of the docking bay. A few minutes later, it jumped into hyperspace. On the Star Destroyer, Grand Admiral Thrawn just sat, and looked at the screen, where he had been watching Luke the whole time. Now would be the time to get the weapons, even if Endor was in Rebel Territory, they had to get there. "Thrawn to the bridge. Captain Pellaeon Set a course for Endor. We need to get there as soon as possible." "Yes, sir. We shall be underwa shortly." replied Pellaeon. "Good. With those weapons, we shall crush the Rebel's New Republic, then put the Empire back into power." Thrawn said to noone but himself.

"Lando, are we out of sensor range of the Star Destroyer yet?" asked Luke. "Yeah. We just got there." replied Lando. "Good. I'm going to go send a message to Coruscant. Change our course to the quickest route to Endor." said Luke. "You got it." said Lando. The freighter dropeed out of hyperspeed, then a few minutes later, jumped back in. On the Star Destroyer Chimaera, Grand Admiral Thrawn walked calmly onto the bridge. "Captain Pellaeon, set a course for Endor, and engage. Also, send out a messgae to the nearest ships to also go to Endor. It is time that we pick up those weapons." said Thrawn. "Yes, sir. I will get right on it." replied Pellaeon. On the bridge of the freighter, Lando noticed a light flashing. "Hey, Luke. Come up here." he called. "What is it?" asked Luke as he approached. "What's this mean?" asked Lando, pointing to the light. "Oh no." sighed Luke. "What is it?" asaked Lando, getting nervous. "That means that the Chimaera is underway. They can only be going to one place. Their going for the Tantiss Mountain weapons cache." said Luke. "How did they know we knew where it was?' asked Lando. "They must have let me get into the computer room, and find the information. But why would they let us get the information that easily?" asked Luke. "Well, I figure one of two things is going on here. Either one, they fed us false information, or two, they gave us the right information, but wanted us to question ourselves. Knowing Thrawn, he probably gave us right information, and he just wants to slip in in all of the confusion." said Lando. "Your probably right, but I still want to be sure. Set a course for the Chimaera, we're going to infiltrate it." Luke said.

General Wedge Antilles was sitting in his office when the communication came through. "What is this?" he wondered. He put down the report he was reading, and looked at it. "Hmm. It's from Luke, but he's not at the Academy on Yavin 4." Wedge scanned through the transmission, wondering why it was typed out. Suddenly, he gasped. "They found the Tantiss Mountain weapons stock. We have to get a ship out there immediately." He walked over to the communications console. He hit the record button. "Leia, Luke and Lando have found Tantiss Mountain. I'm going to get a ship out there right away. Be there as soon as you can. I'm going to send the message he wrote along with the. Antilles out." He ended the transmission, then ran to the docking bay. "Tycho!" he yelled. "What is it General?" asked Tycho Celchu. "We need to get to Endor as soon as possible. What capital starcruiser can leave right now?" Wedge asked. "The Liberty can leave." said Celchu. "Get it ready, and as soon as I'm aboard, I want you to go to Endor." said Wedge. "Yes, sir. I'll get it ready right now." said Celchu. Wedge ran back to his office, and closed and locked down all of his files. He then took the transport up to the Liberty. "Antilles to the bridge. Get underway now." said Wedge. "Yes, sir. We are jumping into hyperspace now." said Celchu. The Liberty hung in space for a few seconds, then jumped out of sight, going to Endor, and possibly a great advantage for the New Republic.

Is anyone actually reading this? If not, I'm not going to write anymore.

Lando slowly brought the shuttle in behind the Chimaera, trying to be as discreet as possible. He was about to pull into the docking bay when suddenly three ties shot out of the docking bay. Lando quickly pulled the freighter into a tight curve, and blasted away from the Star Destroyer. He hit the comm. �Luke, get up hear now. We have tie fighters on our tail, and I need a gunner.� Luke ran through the ship as the ties opened fire. Lando started making calculations for the jump to hyperspeed. Luke ran into the cockpit, and sat down in the chair next to Lando�s. �There�s no way Thrawn could have known that we were coming.� said Luke. �Apparently there was a way, because we has ties on our tail.� replied Lando. �How long until we can jump to hyperspeed?� asked Luke. �About�� the ship was thrown into a curve as the tie fighters took out the hyperdrive generator. ��Never.� Lando finished. �I�m going to send a distress call.� said Luke. �I�ll try to hold them off for a little while longer.� Replied Lando. Luke swiveled his chair to face the communications console. �Any New Republic ship in our vicinity, please aide. We are under attack by the Chimaera, and are in need of assistance. I repeat, the Chimaera has attacked us, and we need help.� Luke sent off the message, then the communications array was hit. �Well, I hope someone responds.� said Lando.

The Freedom's Hope, a Star Destroyer captured after the New Republic rose to power, was in the vicinity of Lando's freighter. The Admiral, Neb Thron, walked onto the bridge as the communication was received. "Sir, an unidentified freighter is sending a disterss signal. They claim to be Luke Skywalker and Lando Calrissian. What should we do?" asked the Captain. "Lay in an intercept course. Try to get there as fast as possible." said Thron. Meanwhile, Lando was desperatley trying to get the frieghter to stay in one piece. The ship rocked again and again. "Well, that last one was our quad laser cannons." said Luke. "This is just great." moaned Lando. "I have an idea." said Luke. "What?" asked Lando. "Turn us around so we're pointing directly at the Star Destroyer, and then stop. After that, launch two deactivated concussion missiles." said Luke. "Uh, Luke. Last time I checked, it was insanity to go head on with a Star Destroyer." said Lando. "Trust me." said Luke. "O.K. But if you get killed somehow, it wasn't my fault." said Lando. Lando brought the ship around and stopped, then launched the two missiles. "O.K. Lando. On my mark, I want you to go full speed right towards the bridge section, and fire everything we've got." said Luke. "Or everything we've got left, you mean." said Lando. "Whatever. Just go as soon as I say to." said Luke

The Freedom's Hope was speeding to the freighter, and had just dropped out of hyperspeed as the [i]Chimaera left the battle, severely damaged. "I wan't that freighter on this ship now, and I want those two people up here now." thundered Thron. "How could they defeat a Star Destroyer in a freighter?" Thron asked noone. Luke and Lando were taken up to the bridge immediatley. "How did you do it?" asked Thron. "Do what?" asked Lando innocently. "Oh don't give me that Calrissian. How did you defeat the Star Destroyer?" asked Thron. "Oh, I think we should let Luke explain this one." said Lando. "Well?" said Thron. "It was actually simple. We dropped two concussion missiles that were deactivated, then I guided them in using the force. I put them on a trajectory to hit bridge module, but not the bridge itself. After they made contact with the Star Destroyer, I reactivated them and detonated them. After that, Lando went in and fired the rest of our missiles. We damaged the ship pretty badly. It should be out of commission for a while." said Luke. "That is amazing." said Thron breathlessly. "Oh, and thanks for showing up so promptly." said Calrissian, sarcasm dripping from his voice. "Watch it Lando." said Luke. Ignoring Lando's comment, Thron asked, "Where would you like to go?" "Coruscant." said Luke. Lando was about to say something, but Luke jabbed him in the ribs. "Captain, set a course for Coruscant." said Thron. "Yes, sir." the captain replied. The Freedom's Hope hung in space for a few seconds, then jumped into hyperspace.

Wedge stepped onto the bridge of the Liberty. It was orbiting Endor. "Have you found the weapons stock yet?" asked Wedge. "No, sir. I'm beginning to think it was a trick. We haven't found anyhting, and we've been out here for five hours now." said the Admiral. "Very well. Recall the search teams, and lets get back to Coruscant." said Wedge. One of the crewmen got up, and walked off of the bridge. He went straight to his quarters. "Agent 142 to the Chimaera, the weapons supply is not on Endor. We need to keep looking. Thrawn sat calml on the bridge of the Chimaera. "Very well. At least the Rebels have searched Endor for us. Agent 142. get off of that ship, and get back to Bastion as soon as possible." said Thrawn, then he had Pellaeon cut the communication. The Freedom's Hope dropped out of hyperspace next to Coruscant, then a shuttle left. When the shuttle landed, Han was waiting for Luke and Lando to come out. "Han, we need to speak to Leia." said Luke. "Well, she's in a Senate meeting right now, but she told me to have you two come over to our house and wait." said Han. "I hope she gets out of that meeting soon, becasue I have some very mportant news." said Luke.
