Is there such a thing as beltric acid?

Anyone remember Superman III, that great movie from 1983?

In the movie, Superman used beltric acid against the Super Computer.

When I first watched the movie, I spent ages trying to get info on beltric acid (long before the luxury of the 'net or search engines). I had no luck.

Anyway, I watched the film again recently and it reminded me.

I need to know-is there such a thing as beltric acid? I know there is such a thing as acid but what about beltric acid?

I have browsed the 'net but only get references to the Superman movie. I've found nothing in dictionaries or science books.

Can anyone help, please?

Can't say i've heard of it, but then again it was in superman! Closest sounding is Citric acid!!

I'm pretty sure there is no such thing. I've browsed dozens of search engines and sites and all I get is reference to Superman III.

Adamantium is a fictitious metal which exists only in the X-Men comics and movies. I think beltric acid was just something created, necessary for the plot of Superman III.
