PostWed Jun 09, 2004 5:16 pm    Michael Moore Hates America!

There's a low budget documentary coming out this summer called "Michael Moore Hates America." It's a documentary exposing the lies and deceit that Moore uses in HIS documentarys.

I can't wait to see it!

To visit the website (www.michaelmoorehatesamerica.com) and see the trailers click here or the banner in my sig.

And Michael Wilson hates Michael Moore.

Yes, MM used very cunning editing in BfC (I've read the unedited Charlton Heston speech), but I think the basic point he was trying to get across was very admirable. Why does the US have 10,000+ gun deaths per year when Canada has the same laws (and more guns per person I believe) and has far, far fewer murders? I don't think he was pushing for tighter gun control at all.

I think Michael Moore was telling the truth, but just as was said in the 'Hates America' trailer, stretching it a bit before showing us.

And why is Ray Bradbury so pissed at Moore for stealing a title without asking? Has he never seen a porno film? The sites he links to are as bad as those political sites which are so put down here as having no real weight at all. Moorlies.com? Bowlingfortruth.com? Come on. And did P & T demand a link to their website because they made an appearance in his documentary? Why else would it be there?

Well, I don't think he Hates america.

But Moore does have a nice way of twisting facts around to suit his needs.

Michael Moore DOES hate America. He hates Bush. He hates Republicans.
His new movie is all lying, spinning, and propaganda spilling, and I for one do not like it. Plus, it is AGAINST what freedom of speech is, as it is Slander...

Hey, I hate Bush and the Republican party and I don't hate America. Being able to express opinions on political, social, and economic issues is what freedom of speech is all about.

Do you have a reason you hate Bush, or are you the typical left wing idealogue who goes around beating the "Bush is evil" drum without giving any facts, and just makes broad generalizations about the right wing?

Well, perhaps hate is a bit strong. Let's just stick with "dislike" for now. And the reason I "dislike" him is because I disagree with his economic and international policies. Specifically, I believe tighter restrictions should be placed on the private sector and the public sector expanded. I also believe that it was a mistake to jump to war with Iraq when there are so many unresolved issues in other nations in which the United States is militarily engaged. One thing I do admire about him is his dedication to finishing what he started. I just hope for America's, Iraq's, and his sake that the administration can set up a viable government in Iraq without having it blow up in their faces.

I don't hate Bush cause he is the right man for President. He is not a liar and Flip Flopper like the Democrats. In my opinion I would not want to watch the movie. I don't even know who Michael Moore is anyway.

Freedom of Speech, ladies and gentlemen. If Michael Moore hates America, let him. What's the big problem?

Mr. Moore has the same right to express himself as you have, but not the same opinion. Does this automatically make him bad? It shouldn't in this "free country" of yours.

It is also "freedom of speech" to disagree with him, and to form your own opinion of him. Freedom of speech goes both ways or doesn't work.

You are right, Theresa, And as I've said before, Michael Moore constantly uses SLANDER in what he does--that is NOT what Freedom of Speech is supposed to be, hence you can get in trouble for it.
And there is another thing: If you LIVE IN AMERICA you should NOT give hate speech like the French, it GOES AGAINST THE BELIEFS OF OUR FREE COUNTRY.

Theresa, I agree with you.

Republican_Man, but wouldn't that be removing freedom of speech for those who have different opinions? And why should you not stand up and give "hate speech" if you live in America? If that's what the person doing it wants to do, let them do it. And how does it go against the beliefs of your country anyway? Enlighten me, I might be a bit ignorant on all the beliefs of America.

Let's wait till we see the end result of his new film (which I know for a fact contains some truths) , then we'll find out who's the one who is slandering

Okay, I said you COULD get in trouble for it, not that you WILL. And you can give solid CRITICISM of America, but it's not right to give true "hate speech." They can do it if they want, but it's not right. And what do you mean by, "And how does it go against the beliefs of your country anyway?" Reword that question and then I'll answer.

And okay, Pah, but I can just tell. I've looked at his books--hardly looked at them, they were so vile--but...and I'm sure that there will be SOME truths, but...You just tell me after you see what's in it. I am not going to see it.

I would recommend that no one go and see his new movie. We know for a fact that he is a liar and uses pure propaganda, do not invest your time watching a movie that was made by a person that lies. It is a waste of your time because you will have to go through and weed truth from fiction. If you are really interested in this kind of stuff, I recommend a good book, perhaps one called, I beleive, "Plan of Attack".

For a lie to be believable, it must have at least a grain of truth. Like, "the sky is blue". You say one true thing, hook the audience, and then spin your tale.

Yes, there is freedom of speech, but you've got to wonder why someone who hates a country so much stays? Is it because of that freedom he is granted by the country he despises?

Michael Moore is god. Any man who succesfully runs a tree for congress, is totally awesome in my book. I love Michael Moore.

Yah, he bashes Bush alot, but its all valid. He could do the same to anyone else, he just targets Bush.

And how would you like someone to bash Kerry Defiant? Tables can turn and then you will know how it feels for someone to bash person you like. But I won't bash even Kerry cause I ain't stooping to that level. I just pray that he don't get President. America will be doomed.

All valid? You don't get out much, do you? Or you just don't care about any facts that support what you think. Gotta wonder about people like you, who think they can get through life with the world according to them. He totally falsified several things he said, later admitted it, but hey, Defiant says it's all valid.

In my opinion, which I am also entitled to.

Freedom of speech works both ways.

You should know many people do that over here I don't know for sure about the rest of the continent, but it seems that pro-Americans are an endangered species in Europe
