There are plenty of romance storylines in Star Trek. I mean, there were three weddings during DS9's seven seasons, you had Tom and B'Elanna in Voyager, many relationships throughout TNG...

no but that is just a small part of the story line
it isn't actually the point of the episode it's just something to show that the crew aren't heartless

i would say that the romance on voyager is more of a sub-text rather than a storyline

I, personally, wouldn't mind seeing a gay couple or two on Star Trek. Without it, it makes the show and the people who write it seem anti-gay ... and I'm sure that Gene Roddenberry was pro-choice.

If more shows had gay couples etc etc i think eventually everybody will get use to it and not be so homophobic.

Oh yeh soaps like 'Eastenders' and 'Coronation Street' have had homosexuals in before and it usually shows the problems they had by announcing they were gay and how they dealed with it. This can help people in real life by watching these soaps.

Every show I watch has a gay, not kidding. It's something quite compulsory, and it's fun to se the pattern
