Superman The Movie

Just watched Superman The Movie on DVD yet again. What a great movie this is, perhaps the most perfect superhero movie ever (along with The X-Men).

To me, the film has everything. Great special effects (he really did look like he was flying), the right amount of humour, stellar performances from everyone and a good plot. The chemistry between the stars is amazing.

Chris Reeve IS Superman and always will be for me. Whoever plays Superman in the future will have a hard act to follow.

Margot Kidder was great as Lois Lane, she had perfect chemistry with Chris Reeve. The scene where they flew together was just pure magic.

Gene Hackman made a perfect Lex Luthor, accurately reflecting the comic book Luthor of the time.

I really cannot put into words my feelings for this movie, it is PERFECT. I'd love to hear people's thoughts on this.
