Thinking about all the DC and Marvel superheroes, I often wonder what type of tales we'd see if either DC or Marvel decided that a particular hero's title was going to end for good.

How would you end them? These are my ideas.

(BTW, don't take my ideas too seriously. Just a bit of fun)

Superman

Lex Luthor, consumed by hatred, would do a deal with a galactic villain to rid the world of Superman. Superman, realizing he must be rid of Luthor, decides he must go against everything he stands for and kill Luthor. But he knows he could not live with himself so he decides to take his own life too. He flies himself and Luthor into the sun as a shocked world looks on.

Batman

Batman would come to realize how fruitless his war on crime is. He will realize that no matter how many schemes he stops, there will always be more. There will always be criminals and crimelords to replace those who are stopped. So, Batman decides he will nuke Gotham City after arranging for all the good people to be evacuated.
Robin will try to talk Batman out of it but Batman will KO him to the ground and will then go crazy, knocking Alfred out too. Commissioner Gordon, Batgirl and the rest try and calm him down but he is too far gone.
In the end, Batman will mercilessly kill his arch-enemy The Joker by breaking his neck. Batman will then, with the help of an alien device, transport all the innocents of Gotham to another city. He will then detonate a nuke in Gotham which destroys himself and every living villain in the city.

Spider-Man

Norman Osborn, AKA The Green Goblin, and Spidey's worst enemy, is back. It will transpire that Osborn is Peter Parker's father. Parker will be shocked to hear his most hated enemy is his dad.
Spidey and The Green Goblin will battle throughout New York. Jonah Jameson will be taken hostage by the Green Goblin. Some children will be brought into the fray. The Goblin will go to kill them and Jameson. Spidey decides to make the ultimate sacrifice and jump in front of the bomb meant for Jameson and the kids.
In a fit of joy at Spidey's death, The Green Goblin will go mad and will blow himself up.
On the ground, Spidey lays dead. Jameson unmasks him and is shocked to see that Spidey is none other than Peter Parker, the man who got photos of Spidey for years. Jameson will realize that Spidey was an altruistic hero.
The city of New York will give Spider-Man a decenr burial. Jonah Jameson then decides he will carry on Spidey's good work and become Spider-Man II.
