When there was no mention of LeVar Burton (TNG's "Geordi LaForge") during the first half of The Sharon Osbourne Show, I thought he was a no-show. Perhaps he was trying to downplay his celebrity. LeVar eventually appeared with Xorin Balbes from Global Vision for Peace, which has allied its initiative with the mandate of the United Nations. Balbes presented Osbourne with the "Dove of Peace" pin that numerous artists were seen wearing at this year's Academy Award ceremonies. LeVar seemed to be quite moved by the human spirit represented in the Children of Uganda who gave an enthusiastic song and dance performance. At the end of the segment, Sharon pledged $10,000 of her own money to the children, announcing that anyone who matches that donation will be invited to appear with her on the Osbourne Show...

i love levar burton, i grew up on tng and reading rainbow, and geordi is my favorite star trek character of all time

Levar Burton is a really good person and a great actor, from Roots to Star Trek Next Generation.
