Wow... now this is scifi. I've only seen the first two episodes, but have already gotten a feel for the high level of character development and intermingled subplots in this miniseries.

I need to get the next DVD mailed to me soon!

I am reading the book to the first eppisode.. or something. I dunno exactly which eppisode it goes with. Its the one where some people.. I think a man and his kid discover the UFO! They tell whoever is the actual commander then Owen is all confused or whatever.
Its something like that. I haven't read the book for about a month so that's why I am lacking on fully describing it.

Sci-Fi channel.. this miniseries was directed by Steven Spelberg and its great....

Overall, this was a very complete 10x2hr sci-fi mini series. I very much enjoyed the three generation of characters and their unique developments. If you have time, I recommend watching this mini series.
