Have any of you read this trilogy?
It's pretty good--I'd recommend it. I'm on the 3rd book.
I actually went to a convention here in CO last year and the author, Christie Golden (I hope I got that right, my book isn't with me now), was there...I got the 1st one signed...
It's a long plot and I don't want to say it, but would someone else mind explaining it without giving away too much info?

Yeah, I thought it was good. I think they were a few of the first Trek books I ever read. Of course, that was a little while ago, so I don't remember the plot clearly enough to explain it...
Christie Golden has to be one of my favourite Trek writers. I thought "Homecoming" was really well done, despite what Aaron might say. "The Murdered Sun" isn't bad either.

She lacks the ability to provide an interesting and continuous plot. She never gives any real character development, either. I'd much rather read the microwave manual.

Oh my gosh you never give up on badmouthing Christie Golden do you? I happened to like her books and those books were actually the first ones I read and they compelled me to read more of them. Also, let's just say it has to do with a little bit of Dark Matter, a lot of science, and an old 'friend'.

It was a good series. Christie Golden is a good writer in my eyes: she keeps my interest in the story, which a lot of authors cannot do. OK, so she might not be the best, but I like her stories

The series was great! And yeah, Christie Golden is a great writer.
She wrote the last two Voyager books too!... "Homecoming" and "The Father Shore" (My spelling may be wrong.)

I love that the people who bad mouth Christie Golden for her writing abilities are the same people who love Voyager. The writing in Voyager, or, for that matter most of the Star Trek episodes, isn't great.

Nobody said the series episode wrighting was good, but when you butcher something that isn't that good in the first place, into something worse, it's just kind of sad.
(Not that I'm in love with Voyager or anything)
