hi newbie reporting in.
Some of you know me from other boards and under different names like for example Huggle. I chose L'ursa as my username here because it happens to be an anagram of my real name, Ursula, and it's more trek-ish than Huggle.
I am 40, German, single (hopefully that'll change soon) and female (that won't change )
I like all kinds of animals. Well, almost all. My enthusiasm isn't that marked when it comes to big spiders...
You'll never find me without a book. I'm especially fond of SciFi, Fantasy, fairy tales and books about other countries.
My taste in music is somewhat limited - I like Jazz, Blues, Celtic Folk, oldies from before 1970 and classical music, especially Baroque music. I also play several instruments.
I love peace and silence which propably will cause me to commit a murder very soon (the old spinster who lives above me vacuum cleans her carpets at 4:30 am!)
I absolutely hate it when people are dishonest. It's perfectly ok with me if someone tells me in my face that he dislikes me, but I can get really pissed if people pretend to be my friends only to backstab me.
At the moment I am trying to partially dematerialize myself. In other words: I am on a diet. Any suggestions for low-calorie sweet dishes are highly welcome *drool*
I have seen each of the Trek Series when they first aired (yep, I know, I am terribly old ) and whatever people say against VOY and ENT, I think they are not bad at all. I dislike TOS because of Kirk, and I love TNG and DS9 because of Worf.
hmm... that's all I can think of atm. If you'd like to know more, just go ahead and ask me. I bite only on very rare occasions

Hello! It's always good to have some more people from Europe here... not that I have anything against people from other continents but just to balance things out!
Hope you have fun here Ursula!
