That is not the case, and I have WHY. Antichrist is going to be the 'Head of the Beast.' Now, 'The Beast', when you look into it, turns out to be a political super-power; a union of ALL countries together. That sounds more like something relative to the UN to me. |
I said Bush could be. But the thing is this world is becoming a lot more like Revelation says it will. Countries are uniting together. Here in Britian and some other places ID cards are going to be introduced, and you will need them to buy stuff. Reminds me of the "Mark of the Beast". (Rev. 13:19) There will be 10 different regions that under the rulership of the beast.

And beyond this, 'The Scorpion will sting for 5 months.' 5 MONTHS. Bush has been in a LOT longer than 5 MONTHS. |
This is refering to the scorpion like locusts creatures that will roam the earth and torture the people who don't have God's mark on them. ((I think this is the passage you are refering to, Rev. 9)).
B'Ellanna_Torrez wrote: |
And beyond THAT, antichrist will only rule for 2.5 MONTHS! The other two will be kings of men under the influence of Satan! And antichrist will be trying to take us further from God, or claim he IS God, more like. He wants to make his own little fake rapture and 'Fly' the good christians away. AND WHAT ABOUT THE WONDERS? THE SCORPION IS TO CREATE GREAT WONDERS! Is Bush doing miracles? NO! And I see you aimed this at other leaders, too. But consider what I've said.
BUSH? EVEN POSSIBLY ANTICHRIST??? NO WAY! OTHER LEADERS FIT THIS DESCRIPTION??? HECK NO! And I know what I'm saying, check me out in Revalations and Corinthians if you wish. |
Some people think that the rapture will take place before the antichrist comes, and some after. Some believe that those left after the rapture will be damned for ever, while others think that those who follow Christ in the 7 months that follow can still be saved. If the rapture happens after the 7 months of trial, we have to see the two Witnesses in Jerusalm. Then there needs to be the false prophet who will get people to worship the antichrist. And all the Jews have to have returned to Israel for any of this to happen. The slight problem with this is that in the Bible it was passed on from father to son, but now it's mother to child, so we don't actually know who the "proper" Jews are. My interpretation of Revelation is that the Antichrist will rule for 7 months. In the first 3.5 months he will pretend to be kind and caring. After he is killed the Devil will actually posess him and he will rise from death. Then Jesus will return after another 3.5 months. It's really scary, Revelation.
What I'm arguing is that don't think leaders are so great that they basically can't do wrong. It probably won't happen now, but it still could be. There is also the problem that some people take the passage figurativly and some literally. I personally take it both ways. It think that the things that are written is going to happen, but also they are images that are happening now. |
Those who believe that people who don't follow the rapture are 'Damned' are incorrect by the word itself. They must not read the latter half of the book, (Revelation) where we refer to the Millenium, where 'Every knee shall bow to christ.' There are very few Christians who will acutally be 'Saved' before the Millenium and are part of the witnesses to the marriage of God, (We're talking spiritual marriage here, not a literal marriage exactly) and there will be a good deal of Christians in the Millenium time. Revalation states that many will be decieved, but after which they will be given a choice to follow God or Satan anyway at the end of the Millenium (1,000 years, or 'The Lord's Day' --1 day with God =1,000 years). ((Not Y2K, of course, to be clear; biblical Millenium))
As for the seven months...where did you get that? Just curious, 'cause I haven't seen it... And as for 'Interpretations' of Revelation...why must everyone 'Interpret' everything? Why don't they just read the bible, as it was written? Grab a Strongs, sit down, and read it through? As it should be? Puzzles me. The way I take it, is going right back to the actual writings i.e. The Hebrew and the Greek. Makes a great deal more sense on a number of issues...
I agree with you that our leaders can most certainly do wrong. And I agree that things are happening right now that pertain to the prophecy of the end times. ((i.e. The King of Babylon being found in a hole. This was kind of funny to me. Wasn't part of Revelation, I've forgotten exactly where that was, but it was mentioned, and of course modern Babylon is Iraq.))
Mind you, I'm not trying to 'argue'...both of us seem to be on the same page, after all...just stating my opinion...no offense ever intended to anyone...
And, err...we should probably be getting back to the original topic about now, anyway...

LoL, I can't beleive yall are trying to interpret the whole book of Revelation....you can't just read that book alone and understand everything....its more like you come away and are like..."um right....".
You have to have read all of the Bible because alot of that stuff is a symbol from other parts of it. Also.....

Lets get back to the conversation guys....no one know when the end of the world will come or begin...so I don't see the point in discussing any of this.

Remember, different people have different views on things. You cannot say that they are wrong. You can say you don't agree, but you can't say that they are lying, because they have different views. They could say exactly the same about you. Don't get me wrong, I am more of a Republican than Democrate (although I don't know that much about the different views in America). You have to respect others. Also I saw you saying Bush was the opposite of the Devil somewhere else. Obviously that is a bit of an overstatement from you, and you'll be the first to admit it as you're saying he's God, but remember: (This is because a lot of Republicans seem to be Christians) The antichrist in the bible is supposed to fool many people, so don't feel so strongly that someone is so great that you could almost say they are God. I think I'm going to have a lot of people against me now, but this is my view. And no one quote me saying Bush is the Antichrist, I'm not, I'm saying it is a possibilty. |
Okay, PLEASE NO!!! PRESIDENT BUSH IS NOTHING WHATSOEVER LIKE GOD, JESUS, OR ANYTHING! HE IS JUST A GREAT PRESIDENT THAT I SUPPORT 98%. Okay, and I never said they were wrong, I just expressed my OPINION! PLEASE NO! I HATE THE DAMNED THINGTHAT PEOPLE COULD SAY THAT I HAVE ANY RELIGIOUS OPION ABOUT BUSH!!!! HE IS NOTHING WHATSOEVER IN THE BIBLE AS FAR AS JESUS, GOD, OR THE ANTI-CHRIST... I HATE that you are TORMENTING ME LIKE THIS...You are TORMENTING ME, Jeremy!
You make me feel VERY distressed about this situation, Damn it! It is not right! In this case, I DO Say that YOU'RE wrong! Bah! And I don't know, and I hate the language I will use, but I don't know HOW THE HELL YOU GOT THAT FROM THE
WE WENT TO WAR IN IRAQ TO DEFEND AMERICA thing, okay...You really get me mad!!!!!
I'm sorry, Jeremy, but...Well, you're making me almost cry at the same time...
I appologize for what I've said (somewhat) but I can't express it in any other way!

*blinks* Hm. Well, don't believe in evolution. BUT, for the record... 2 Peter 3:8 is where that comes from. *carefully and quietly walks away from the subject, towards the bright white light that says 'The Original Topic of the Thread.' *

He asked the question, I simply answered it. I never said that I didn't believe in evolution, if that's what you're implying.

I think the implication was that your statement is erroneous. The "thousand years" quote is actually a Bible verse, and therefore cannot just be a "theologians excuse".
But, back on topic, please.

/\ You think that Bush went to Iraq to avenge his father?????!?! thats the silliest thing I have heard. The going to Iraq for oil even makes more sense than that....not that it makes much......try the fact that he was directly disobeying UN orders, and that he was an sadistic madman, or he attemted genocide, or perhaps bringing a new Democratic government to the region could create a ripple effect.

EXACTLY. First off, we haven't taken any oil, and second, Saddam broke the Gulf War Cease Fire Treaty SEVENTEEN TIMES.
Also, Quote: | you know, a valium or two could probley do you some good. |
I find that HIGHLY offensive. I am NOT on drugs or anything of the sort, and nor do I plan to EVER have them. How could you say such a thing?

Knock it off. You, too, 4evajaneway. If you don't want to discuss the topic, then don't, but "don't do it" somewhere else.
