no, you just get baptized to profess your faith to a certain religion, not just Baptist. I was baptized as Presbyterian. So if you change religions, you get baptized by that church... well, in most Christian faiths, that is.

I know that. gees. But I never got baptized at a baptist church.
Janewayishott I know the answer to your question. I ask Charlie when he woke up to get a drink. He said pentecostal believes in the trinity, which is the father, son, and holy ghost. And we believe in the gift of the holy ghost.
I could have explained that earlier but could not get the right words out.

Lokian. I practice the search for Lokia. Not to be confused with Loki... Which in Lokian is the unpeace, violence, evilness. And in Norse mythology the devil. Go figure. But Lokia, which is the divine peace, in Lokian. Yes it's a language. Though it's not really a religion.. It's like Shintoism, which has been explained to me, as a set of beliefs that don't conflict with other religions. (Most.) Like you can be Christian and Shinto at the same time. You can be Lokian and whatever at the same time.
Lokian is mainly about finding your own inner peace, and helping others find theirs. AFTER you have yours. It discourages self-sacrifice. And tries to teach you to look after yourself first before you try to help others.
It's got a simply logic to it.
If all of your limps are broken, can you treat someone with a scratch?
I'm also Christian. Like B'. Just Christian. She and I have many of the same beliefs. Or more I share many of hers.

Please do not take this offensivly but this actually does conflict with at least what I perceive as Christianity. Christ encouraged you to give of yourself without expecting in return, and encouraged people to put to rest all of their earthly obsessions and said that you must die into yourself.

I will say it again. If all of you limbs are broken, can you take care of someone with a scratch?
A human being. Can you take care of someone who is hurt less then you? No you can't. It's not possible. I said, I'm Primarilly Lokian, with Christian views.
And that's not my take on Christianity. I didn't say anything about worldly things. I said to take care of your well-being before trying to help others. Because it's hard to take care of someone when you're hurt badly.

The problem with this is that it is almost placing the emphasise of going to heaven on the individual. The christian faith is basically different from all the other other ones because it is that you can't be good by yourself. You have to rely on Jesus to help. In this world we won't be perfect but he's the only way that we will go to heaven.

The Catholic Church does not even consider Jehova Witnesses or Mormons to be a Christian religion, although I think that they do....they are very different

Jehovah's witnesses believe in the teaching of one man on the bible. It's more of a cult because some of the teachings this man says are a bit warped. Not sure about the Mormons.

Mormons believe that there's another testament to the Bible, the Book of Mormon.
It was translated by a guy called Joseph Smith.
It's not really that cultish, from what I've seen (my siblings are Mormons, and I've been to the church before).

The problem with the extra book though is the bit at the end of Revelation, where it says not to add to the bible...

Sadly, adding to the bible happens A LOT more often than it should.
