That's not what Janeway meant...he is a supporter of Bush. He, I would think, was talking about our "friend" up there...

After Janeway said, "It takes one to know one," I replied with that quote, and what I meant was that Janeway was NOT saying that BUSH was a "retard..." and that as a matter of fact he is a SUPPORTER of the President. Could someone please explain this simple concept even more to him if he still doesn't understand?

That John Candy comment was irrelivant.
And I have NO problem with people forming their own opinions, I just DON'T see how one could draw that one...

Okay, well it WAS irrelivent to the discussion that we are having, but I CAN accept different opinions...as I said, I just do NOT see how that one could have been drawn.

the only reason he attacked iraq was cause they were a threat to him only and also that cause it is believed Saddam has Alien Ships in his possesions.

You know waht, I am TIRED OF THIS LYING AND SPINNING. PRESIDENT BUSH DID NOT GO TO WAR JUST FOR HIS BENEFIT. HE WENT BECAUSE IT WAS A THREAT TO THE WORLD, MORE SPECIFICALLY AMERICA, THAT INTELLIGENCE STATED!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm tired of all of this crap, "He only went in for his oil buddies--" when have we taken their oil--"We only went to Iraq because of his 'Alien Ship.'" As Eboneezer Scrooge would put it, "Bah Humbug! That's just nonsense!"

Australia also helped America in the war too. Now Australia is now a high threat target thanks to our prime minister. (if we did not help america in iraq and let them fight their own war, we would not be at threat)

But I do supose it is a difficult time. And I could not say that I could do a better job than either your president or our prime minister, so...

President bush is a bad president.

So vote for John Kerry.

The way bush runs the country is im going to "Attack nations with dictators, blame john kerry for all the problems, and make false accusation." right?

Not exactly, but ok.

We went into Afghanistan as they were a threat, and the taliban was believed to be behind the September 11th attacks. Iraq was a threat as well, they harboured terrorists and weren't cooperating with UN inspectors.

John Kerry will make a bad president.

So vote for George Bush.

Okay, that's your opinion, but Bush didn't just attack nations with dictators, rather BOTH wars, the one in Afganhistan and in Iraq, were because we had a THREAT.
2nd, Bush has NOT "blamed John Kerry for all problems"
3rd, he's NEVER made false accusations...However, I could be wrong. Give me an example...Oh, and the DEMOCRATS made MANY false accusationss, such as Bush being AWOL in the Nat'l Guard, PROVEN false! (discuss that in the other discussion...)

Remember, different people have different views on things. You cannot say that they are wrong. You can say you don't agree, but you can't say that they are lying, because they have different views. They could say exactly the same about you. Don't get me wrong, I am more of a Republican than Democrate (although I don't know that much about the different views in America). You have to respect others. Also I saw you saying Bush was the opposite of the Devil somewhere else. Obviously that is a bit of an overstatement from you, and you'll be the first to admit it as you're saying he's God, but remember: (This is because a lot of Republicans seem to be Christians) The antichrist in the bible is supposed to fool many people, so don't feel so strongly that someone is so great that you could almost say they are God. I think I'm going to have a lot of people against me now, but this is my view. And no one quote me saying Bush is the Antichrist, I'm not, I'm saying it is a possibilty.

I'm not saying he is. But remember, as I said earlier many people will be fooled. Do you think people will be fooled if he says he's the antichrist? It was not particularly aimed at Bush, but rather as a warning as a lot of people here regard their leader as all good basically. I also wasn't judging him, but saying be careful.

((By the way, this is obvious but... Just because someone says they are Christian it doesn't mean they are. Why do the Jews generally not like Christians? Because many of the Nazi's claimed to be Christians. They obviously weren't, but they said they were.))

Ok, Gotchya. nobody will know who the antichrist is or will be. Scary to think about it. But I know I won't serve the antichrist cause I serve one true God and it is not the antichrist.

Well people too hard to judge Bush , not saying its you. They don't know even know him. They believe media. Hog wash! I don't believe the media cause they don't tell all and they don't tell the truth half the time.

I am not saying I know all either.

That is not the case, and I have WHY. Antichrist is going to be the 'Head of the Beast.' Now, 'The Beast', when you look into it, turns out to be a political super-power; a union of ALL countries together. That sounds more like something relative to the UN to me. And beyond this, 'The Scorpion will sting for 5 months.' 5 MONTHS. Bush has been in a LOT longer than 5 MONTHS. And beyond THAT, antichrist will only rule for 2.5 MONTHS! The other two will be kings of men under the influence of Satan! And antichrist will be trying to take us further from God, or claim he IS God, more like. He wants to make his own little fake rapture and 'Fly' the good christians away. AND WHAT ABOUT THE WONDERS? THE SCORPION IS TO CREATE GREAT WONDERS! Is Bush doing miracles? NO! And I see you aimed this at other leaders, too. But consider what I've said.

BUSH? EVEN POSSIBLY ANTICHRIST??? NO WAY! OTHER LEADERS FIT THIS DESCRIPTION??? HECK NO! And I know what I'm saying, check me out in Revalations and Corinthians if you wish.

I said Bush could be. But the thing is this world is becoming a lot more like Revelation says it will. Countries are uniting together. Here in Britian and some other places ID cards are going to be introduced, and you will need them to buy stuff. Reminds me of the "Mark of the Beast". (Rev. 13:19) There will be 10 different regions that under the rulership of the beast.

This is refering to the scorpion like locusts creatures that will roam the earth and torture the people who don't have God's mark on them. ((I think this is the passage you are refering to, Rev. 9)).

B'Ellanna_Torrez wrote:

Some people think that the rapture will take place before the antichrist comes, and some after. Some believe that those left after the rapture will be damned for ever, while others think that those who follow Christ in the 7 months that follow can still be saved. If the rapture happens after the 7 months of trial, we have to see the two Witnesses in Jerusalm. Then there needs to be the false prophet who will get people to worship the antichrist. And all the Jews have to have returned to Israel for any of this to happen. The slight problem with this is that in the Bible it was passed on from father to son, but now it's mother to child, so we don't actually know who the "proper" Jews are. My interpretation of Revelation is that the Antichrist will rule for 7 months. In the first 3.5 months he will pretend to be kind and caring. After he is killed the Devil will actually posess him and he will rise from death. Then Jesus will return after another 3.5 months. It's really scary, Revelation.

What I'm arguing is that don't think leaders are so great that they basically can't do wrong. It probably won't happen now, but it still could be. There is also the problem that some people take the passage figurativly and some literally. I personally take it both ways. It think that the things that are written is going to happen, but also they are images that are happening now.
