What do yall think of Phlox?

I think he is cool, and I think that the crew is kind of mean to him, they dont seem to show him much respect.

At first, I must admit, I hated him. A lot. But, that was some time ago...since I got to know the character better, I decided he's okay. Not the greatest, but he's a good character.

Yeah, I like him. That smile he gave Captain Archer near the start of the series was kind of weird, and he is, overall, a bit... excitable. However, season one's "Dear Doctor" is a great episode. You really get to know more about his character, and I love the scene where he speaks to Hoshi in Denobulan.

I liked his character also. Why didn't they ever showed Denobulans on any of the other ST shows (at least I'VE never seen them)?

Because it's a new species they've created especially for that show. It does seem to break away from continuity, but it'd be kind of boring to only show races that we've seen in the other shows...

Phlox is ok, he's pretty nifty, but he dosn't seem to stand out all that much.

I like Phlox the character a ton. He's serious when he has to (of course he's a doc) and still easy going and cheery at times.

I must admit that I didn't really like Phlox in the beginning of the show. But now, he's getting better. I think you need to get to know the characters better to judge them...

True, but I just saw a couple of episodes so I don't really have an opinion.

He DID kind of remind me of The Doc from Voyager (well ... he is really cheerful like he was).

The first time I saw him was when all the crew had been affected and he wanted to perform unneccesary surgery, which freaked me out.

Now I've got used to him he's a really good character.
