Personally, I think that they are a bother, especially when you are trying to watch a good show, .

To many presiption medication commercials, they are SOOOOOOOOOOO annoying. I also HATE the Cialis commercial, its a tad awkward watchin TV with your parent and then having a commercial about erectile disfunction medication come on. SOOO all the otherones dont really bother me, but these are just to frequent and annoying. Then sometimes, they don't even tell you what the medication is for!

Certain commercials are ok...
Man, that one with the guy in the office, and the seal that tries to hide. Man, that cracks me up every time. I like a good commercial that makes me laugh...

I said "yes," but only when there are too many, if there are only a few, I really don't have too much of a problem.

Commercials and ads are the DEVIL!
One of the major reasons why I don't watch TV much is because of commercials. So much time is wasted looking at these useless forms of video spam.

Yah, but imagine how much money you would pay for TV service without commercials!

They're not that bad, especially when you just watch tv to zone out and relax, which is what I usually do. People are just too impatient to see what happens next on the show. if there were no commercials inbetween acts, there would be no suspense or time to think about what happened on the show and therefore would defeat the purose of ending a television act such. anyway. I don't think they're that bad. just don't pay attention to them if they annoy you. Or change the channel or something

Another thing that annoys me about commercials is that each one's volume is like twice as loud as the show you are watching. Whenever you're trying to relax and watch a show at a moderate volume setting the commercials come on and scare the living S*** out of you!

Don't most TV's automatically adjust for that now? I know mine do.

I have to agree with Paul Marshall about the volume.
I'm sitting back relaxed watching a show at about 2300 hours at a nice volume and here comes the commercial with the volume way up. I have 2 sons in the bed asleep. The last thing I need is for my boys to wake up.

That's probably a newer feature that they have just developed. Some of the REALLY expensive TV's probably have it, . My TV's a newer model [by Philips] but I'm afraid it doesn't have that feature.

Commercials also allow time for getting things, such as food, a drink, or using the bathroom,

That's true, the 'intermission' time is a aspect of having commercials. I wish they had Intermissions at the movie theaters but sadly they just want to hurry up and get the crowd in, view the movie, and then get them out as fast as they can (so they can make MORE money, ).

This is what you do when you are at the movies, you get to the movies in time to get your food and/or drinks. Then you can find you a good seat and enjoy yourself.
So have yourself a good time at the movies, OK.

^^You still NEED intermissions to use the bathroom. I always miss part of the movie because for some reason I ALWAYS have to use the bathroom in the middle.

So, what you do is go to the bathroom first then get your foods.

But when I fill up on drink and snacks during the movie, by the middle I have to use the bathroom.

^Then don't fill up on drinks and snacks, if you don't like missing part of the movie.

Thank you for telling Paul Marshall that you don't have to fill up on food or drinks from the get go, Kate Janeway.

I don't really have a problem with commercials. There are a few I think are really cute, like the one with the bunnies singing "Peter Cottentail". Thats just adorable.

it depends, if your watching something you really like and you need to make a cup of tea or something the adverts are there for you to do that, but sometimes its just annoying
