Oh your definatly right that America does not want to mess with them, at least, I would hope our President would never get in the mood to do that.....I was just sayin that they would possibly beat out America as a superpower if they moved to capitalism. But yes....I dont think anyone is in the mood to get into a war with them or North Korea.

Really concidering..what the americans THINK he did and what he ACTUALLY did do.I think he would have done it.However.......Why bush used that as a excuse to go in and then keep on changing his mind why he was in there is a mystery to me.Really if saddam had no WMDS then Bush lied to the people.I also know Bush's populary is going down at a steady rate.I dont if thats because of the hole WMDS thing or if people are tired of hearing of americans getting killed.

Also today i was reading the americans are warning the world of a possible Civil war in iraq

The problem was if there was then he had no way of using them against the US as there was no way of firing them that far.

I should hope that anyone would tread carefully with any nation that has nuclear weapons. This is not an act of cowardice but intelligence. If you knew your neighbour was a complete nutcase armed to the teeth would you threaten to kick both his and his dog's ace for peeing on your lawn? Can you say death wish? No, you would cordially and politely alert him to this problem and try to find an amicable approach to addressing the problem. This is called diplomacy.

I don't know if you remember though, the UN or was it US (?) officials discovered some tubes that were being made into launchers. These could have been used to fire weapons at either America (I can't remember if these precise ones could hit America) or her Allies. It wasn't the treat at the time of the war, it was the threat that Iraq were developing. Would you like it if America let Saddam develop weapons again? Then you would have the situation that you have in North Korea. Unless America want to risk thousands of deaths they can't do anything as they have WMD. And since their leader is a complete nutter he wouldn't care what happened as long as he took a bunch of people with him. So if you want to see more situations that thousands of people could die from due to leaders with WMD then go ahead, and let these dictators develop these weapons.

It's what they're called by the media, so everyone will know what you mean. What else would you call them?

Ok, most people on are not from America and they have gotten their opinion on the war. Let me ask you this my friends and the american ones too. Who is against this war and Bush.

For those in Another country at first. How would you like it if THey came and bomb building and killing thousands of people? Don't tell me you would not fight back. Don't tell you won't be mad as H***. Cause you know you would be. You don't know cause you are not in America. You have not seen your people recently get killed. You don't have soldiers you love going to war.

What the H***! Do you expect us to do? Sit back and let them attack us again?
Those of you in America, Have you forgotten about those two towers fell? Have you forgotten those evil people killed americans? There is no excuse for terrorism. What would you do in Iraq war. What if he really did have those weapons? Cause you don't know cause you was not there.
The news don't tell the truth. Unreliable source. My husband was there. He knew what went on.
THough he can not tell me all but he does not lie.

People just want to stir an arguement that nobody will win.

- I wouldn't like it but it was Al-Qaeda not the Baathist Regime in Iraq responsible for 9|11

- I don't know what your Husband or the News tells you but the Baathist Regim in Iraq weren't responsible for 9|11, Al-Qaeda Were!

- Nobody said there was.

- Trust me if there was WMDs the Bush Admin and B-Liar New Labour Government would have said why the hell would they with-hold Info that would gain them support.

- I have friends who fled from Iraq after Bush went in, they know what happened and obviously if your Husband went to fight there, he is PRO-WAR and obviously will feel the war was just, otherwise he'd object to fighting.

first off, those are 2 totally different issues. I know plenty of Republicans who are for Bush, But against the War, and Plenty of Democrats who are for the war, but Against Bush.

It's hard to forget when you have had friends who had family members die in the 9/11 tragedy. It's also hard to forget because it's brought up in every Pro war argument. Unfortunetly for you, It was not IRAQ who crashed those planes into the buildings, it was Al-Qaeda.

If he had those weapons, they must have been well hidden to begin with considering the amount of Satalite imagry we took all over Iraq, plus the UN weapons Inspectors That were all over.

Neither were you

It's called selective information, By telling some, but not all the information, you can swing the mood of anyone. The media does it all the time.
And unfortunetly, your husband, as much as I respect what he is doing, is not a viable source of information. He only knows what he sees, and what he's told. again, selective information comes into play.

No Link stated facts, he never once called your Husband a Liar. Link just stated that your Husband only knows what he sees or is briefed on which would be true unless your Husband is a Telepath.

Also don't leave, reply to us. It wasn't Iraq that caused 9|11, are you Islamophobic perhaps? or Anti-Arab? associating the Iraqi Baathis Government with the Actions of Al-Qaeda.

1. WTC and Pentagon attacked by terrorists.
2. Afghanistan, (Al Qaieda) attacked.
3. War declared on terrorism.
And if you sincerely think that SH and the Iraqi Baathist extremists aren't terrorists... well, yeah.
BTW, what was the "elite" group of soldiers commanded by one of Saddam's sons called? I seem to have forgotten.
Yes, I think the whole "Axis of Evil" speech was a bit dorky, but it was on the right road. Terrorism does need to be dealt with. That's one of the reasons we don't negotiate with them.

Oh please. WMD's aren't all "nukes" and "bombs". Anthrax can be a WMD, and needs no "nuke" or "bomb" to deliver it. Just like the small pox virus. And we sure aren't going to type out Weapons of mass destruction every three posts. Quit whining about stupid things.

All True and Fair Points T, but Kmma clearly Insinuated that the Baathists or Iraqi Government launched the 9|11 Attack. BTW Uday Hussein's Secret Police were called the Mukhabarat

And I'm guessing this is either due to a bad case of Islamophobia or Xenophobia directed against the Arab Race.

Yes, I noticed that, *sigh*. We have some terrorist freaks right here, for goodness sake. (that was the nicest way I could think of to put that, ) Do we all remember Timothy McVeigh?

And thank you.

There was nothing about the Arab race mentioned in kmma's quote, the only people Americans are concerned about are terroristic threats, if they happen to be Islamic, so be it, if they happen to be Arab, well thats just the way it is, if they happened to be white, nothin we can do about it. It is unnecessary to bring race or religion into this.
