NX-02

In the first episode of season three, when archer was being shown to his newly refited ship, he flew past the NX-02. They said that it would be completed in 14 months and would be the same as the refitted NX-01.
It took enterprise 7 months (or was it weeks? can't remember) to reach the delphic expanse and one season usually fills one year. That would mean that the NX-02 would have been completed by the end of the current season...I wonder whats going to happen to that ship? is it going to join up with the enterprise or pick up where the enterprise left off with exploration?

Does any body know of have any thoughts/theorys etc?

Also in 'fortunate son' ensign travis mantions that 'there are three NX class ships on the drawing board'

but anyway do u think the NX-02 will join up with the enterprise?

I think the NX-02 will be ready for launch at the beginning of season four. By then I'm sure that the whole Xindi-thing is finished, so Archer and the others are probably back to Earth. Maybe he will command the new NX or maybe someone else will. Future will tell.

yeah but the admiral said that it would take 14 months till its finished and then archer when on a seven minth trip to the expanse.

Then u have to add the time he has been in there so that i would say is about 5 months (but usually a season is one year so im not sure)

yeah the whole xindi thing probably would have been finished by then

But the 7 months spent en route to the Expanse were covered in the space of a single episode sp the NX-02 could jump in at any time really but for dramatic effect it'll probably be at either the end of the season or the start of the new one...

It was three months, it took to get to the expanse at warp 5.

anyway enterprise can't stay at warp five for three months

Well, they stayed as much as they could at warp 5, they proberly stayed at warp 4.8 something like that.

Well i would hope so the romulan Federation war sould start towards the end of enterprise it would be kinda unfortunate for the federation if the had 2 ships on there side.

yeah i was readin about the beginning of the war with the romulans yesterday. and apparently there was the daedalus class ship at that time . but it wasn't federation they were a Untited Earth Alliance (UEA) ship.

Ok so and by that time there would be the 3 other NX classes built (mentioned in 'fortunate son') umm probably those small ships seen in this solar sytem that helped defend the enterprise from the klingons. (in 'expanse' there unnamed) and the daedalus class, so far thats all we know of.

So do u know why the RSE and Earth went to war in the first place?And i knew about that RSE fighting vessel already but i thought it was a deep space exploration vessel built after the war..i guess i was wrong.

no i dont know why they went to war.
and yes the daedalus class was an exploration vessel, it was built around the beginning of the war.

The mission date for 'The Expanse' is April 21st 2153. The mission date for 'Hatchery' is January 8th 2354. So, that's 8 and a half months between the two. I reckon the Xindi storyline will be finished somewhere in Februray-March, so if Enterprise was to return to Earth straight away, they should arrive around about when NX-02 is almost complete.

In the novel of The Expanse, one of the little shapes is named the Intrepid according to Hoshi, Captain Carlos Ramierez commanding.

I can't remember if that was in the episode or not...

The Picture of the Enterprise or what ever that was (i think the Enterprise) what was it doing there. Is that when it was being refit for the Expance missions ? ?

I have missed many episodes due to the fact i work till 9 at night
