I personally believe that a new debate forum would be good because too much debate happens in the World News section...a place devoted to ARGUEMENT would be great, I think. Who's with me?

If you would or would not like a new debate forum, please state your reasoning. Thanks.

That's three posts in a row

I'm for a Debate Forum, and I'll debate against Bush, rest assured.

Well, then, perhaps you'd better not even bother to post. And no, I'm not saying that because I happen to support Bush. I'm saying that because anything said will be clouded with your obvious bias. If I said Bush pulled 20 mentally handicapped school children from a burning bus, you'd have to put a negative slant on it, such as, "he only did it for the good press". And yes, that is what you'd have to do, since you said,

and I'll debate against Bush, rest assured.
Which would also lead one to believe that you are incapable of debate, because, as we've said before, your beliefs are apparently set in stone, and there is no way you will ever admit that you've been wrong.

Are you any different? I have yet to see you admit that you have been wrong, and it is virtually impossible for you to be right at all times.

Read the topic kmma made called "What kind of man would do such a thing?". Did I say Bush did it for the good press? No. I said every world leader should follow that example.

^I admitted I was wrong, Would you like the link? It's over in CC. And it's quite possible to be right frequently when you think before you speak. I've said I love my country. Never said we were perfect. I said I support my president, never said he was flawless. You, on the other hand, are convinced that Bush is basically evil. And, for that matter, so are most Americans.

I just so happen to agree with you...That's what the Liberals spin EVERY DAY, and how can this one be any different?

I don't know if it would fly very well.

There are a lot of people here who take offense to small bs.

Which is probably why I generally have about six PMs complaining about something when WN is active, *sigh* Personally, I think a little flaming never hurt anyone, especially in debates, but if I don't say something after a complaint, I'm biased, It's a lose/lose situation.
It might work if there is a very explicit disclaimer, though.

Because he's a Socialist, not a Liberal look at his Signature and his multiple posts and hints to his Far-Left Political Stance

I think a lot of these already count as debate forums. I'd say just as long as people stick to true debate fasion and not to slander, it would be fun. I am not a Bush supporter. *Crosses to the other side of the room and stands... pretty much alone, but proud!*

Okay, but wouldn't it be cool to have a forum, like World News, devoted to strict debate?

If there was a strict disclamer, so that people wouldn't go running to the mods/admins for every little flame, it would be fun.

We could also involve debates on issues in other countries, since foreigners (sp?) often bring a different point of view with them
