Fri Mar 26, 2004 11:33 pm The US 2004 Presidential Elections--What do you think? |
|
If you can vote, Vote for Bush!
I'm too young to vote , so help keep America on track.
John Kerry flip-flops too much. How much sense does this make, "I actually did vote for the 87 Billion Dollars...before I voted against it." How can we elect a man like Kerry President of the United States?
He's wrong on defense--voted against, for cutting, and/or for the cancellation of the F-15, F-16, Stealth Bomber, Apache Helicopter, Persian 2 Missile, MX-Missle, and more...Need I go on? He's voted against almost EVERY weapons system the US has! He voted for a nuclear freeze in the Cold War, ect. He is wrong on defense.
And he's been in the Senate long enough to vote on both sides of just about every issue, for instance, for and against the Iraq War...He's on the wrong side of every issue. If he's President, then America will fall. He will do hardly ANYTHING against the terrorists (Look at Clinton) and WON'T help jobs (I'll explain that later)
Now I ask you, what do you think about him? Will you, or would you, or will you not, or would you not, vote for him in the US 2004 elections? I wouldn't, as you can clearly see.
I'll talk about the elections, terrorism, jobs, ect as things progress.
"The Candidates are an interesting group with diverse opinions: for Tax Cuts, and against them, for the Patriot Act, and against it, for No Child Left Behind, and against it, for the war in Iraq, and against it...And that's just one Senator from Massachusetts." --President George W. Bush

There's two things I don't like about Bush:
His outrageous spending, even though he's got good reasons.
His immigration proposal (no, i'm NOT RACIST...I've been called that about 20 times already.)
I want to keep this "Debate Forum," to coin a frase, "Fair and Balanced." So let's keep it that way, and make a calm, peaceful, and sometimes "yelly" debate...

Sat Mar 27, 2004 12:02 am Jobs |
|
Now, no offense to the Unions, but here's the truth about Jobs.
The Unions of the United States have so much power and influence and get so many benefits now that it isn't silly. Companies, like Avaya, have or will find the thick Union books and Union members to be a problem. Since they can't always keep up with the money they need, they are forced to ship jobs to other countries, like India.
That's the real reason.
Who agrees?
Who doesn't? Tell me and please explain...
And DON'T stray off the Political topics, please...
"Vote for Bush, if you can."

*Looks horrified* Bush?!?!?! You have GOT to be kidding me!!!!! I think the whole reason people would vote him in again is because they dont want another 9-11 and they know what stupid decisions he makes, but they don't want to put up with another Gore wannabe (Whom Gore SUCKS!!)) I HATE Bush!!! But this is my personal oppinion.

Of course Bush. He's not a *perfect* candidate--not everyone can be pleased with one person at one time, but as far as overall goes, he's a very strong political figure. He does what he thinks is right, and he finishes what he starts. I personally agree with his standing on most issues, so I would FAR prefer him over Kerry.

I agree with B'ellana
Everything she said was good.
I may be much more confrontational, but that's some good ideas--not getting to the issues, but...

I have a little problem with Bush: he was too stupid to see that going to war with Iraq would increase terrorism, not reduce it. Oh, and he's got to learn to keep religion out of politics. Since I'll never be allowed to vote in America though, I have to put up with what everyone else votes for.

Bush is not, you are too blind to see the truth. The war was needed to stop the evil man from trying to do something to the US and stop torturing his people. You guys really don't have no clue what went on inless it is on the news. My husband was over there in the war and he knows more than the news would not tell.
I vote for Bush not only does he protect us, he is against abortions , killing of innocent babies. Yes, A woman should have rights but the right to kill a baby. Life is precious. Anyway, ya'll take care I got to go view other topics this is ridiclous that you are blinded and can't open your eyes and see the truth.

OK, I'm not going to reply to the abortion issue, except to say I almost had one.

I apologize and will follow what Natira said moreso.
I am new here, so I'm just learning about the forums.
Seven of Nine said this:

Bush: The most dangerous man in the World! |
Anyway, here's my replies:
-The Senate Intelligence committee SAW THE INTELLIGENCE.
-Bill Clinton saw the Intelligence
-The CIA said that it was god (Clinton was the one who made the CIA the way it is, I 'll discuss that later.)
-Tony Blair saw the Intelligence
-GW saw the Intelligence and he was the ONLY PERSON who decided to ask.
-The war in Iraq is only creating the ILLUSTION of more terrorism. People in the Mid-East don't WANT freedom and Democracy there.
-Bush is NOT Stupid. as I said, the intelligence was there.
-Why does religion HAVE to stay out of politics? I say that if I were President, I would speak MORE about religion. So there's the 1st Amendment...Bush has his rights either way!

Abortion, really does not to have to have anything to do with religion, it is killing another human being, its that plain, and that simple.....and to those of you who say its a 'slippery slope issue' BS, its killing a baby. Im sorry if this offends you, I know its not the most gentle way I could have but it, but hey.

*blink blink* Ahem...no, that's not true at all. Does anybody recall a certain dictator who raped his citizens, gassed innocent people's houses, killed his own people, harbored terrorists who kill people who have nothing to do with the problems in Iraq, and spent the country's money of palaces just for himself? HM? We recall this man? I believe his name was Saddam Houssein, and he happens to be under lock and key for the moment.
Sorry, but no. War was called for, in this case. And Bush was not the 'Reason', he was just the guy who wanted to free the Iraqis, and, in turn, shake the terrorists out of their holes, letting them know that they can't just go around killing people without consequences.

I wouldn't know the exact number, so I'll get back to you on that.
Yes, there've been attacks. That's to be expected. War is exactly that, sad as it is. And besides, they were attacking their own people loooooooong before the US came to Iraq. That's what their entire organization is based on. They would be attacking innocents regardless...perhaps not as frequently, but I haven't seen the statistics on if and how much the frequency of attacks has increased...though I think I'll look that up soon...

Of course. Your opinions are entirely up to you, I simply say that I disagree. I thought the war in Iraq was well-justified as far as wars go, but I suppose that's just my own opinion...to be frank, though, no one can dispute that terrorists are a problem that must be stopped. Terrorists don't want to talk, they don't want to negotiate. If you disagree with them, their course of action usually involves killing. How else do you deal with an organization that understands little beyond violence...? How do you deal with people that have been taught killing since they were just children, and won't stop for anything? People with obviously very little guilt over mass murder? The choices of action are very few.
