PostMon Mar 22, 2004 6:08 am    My kids got mistaken for twins

My son David is 6 and daughter Anna is 4. Anna is almost as tall as David and they do favor alot. The other day I put them in a wagon and took them to the store. This woman said oh how cute twins. I said they ain't twins They are 6 and 4. She was so embarrassed. I told her not to worry about it. But it brings back other memories though of when I was in the 7th grade.

My older sister Pam and I also look alot alike. Well my homeroom teacher was out and she is also my reading teacher. So my sister substituted. My friends go Deb that your mom? Wow! I said'' That's not my mama, that is my older sister.

So have you got mistaken along with any of your siblings?

I've already got twins in my family. They're both 27 now.

Oh, and I'm the youngest in my family. So there's no complete way that I can ever become a twin with any of my siblings.

I know some people need glasses when they look at me and my sister. We don't favor as a mom and daughter. eeek. My kids favor alot but I don't think they could get mistaken as twins but some people go oh aint those twins cute. I have to tell them no they are not twins. Sometimes I feel like saying get some glasses lol but I am not that mean.

It goes either way with my sister and I. Half of people say we look like twins, the other half says we look nothing at all alike. I remember this one customer though, when my sister and I worked at Wal Mart. She said to my sister "How'd you get up here so fast? You just helped me in toys." Then another lady came up to me and started to talk to me thinking she was continuing a conversation with my sister. The look on her face was priceless when my sister came around the corner.

It used to happen a lot with my younger brother and I. My Mum would dress us in the same clothes and stuff like that, There's actually 19 months (to the day) between us. I even get it in school sometimes from people I don't know that well: "That's your brother? I thought it was you!"

I look a lot like my older sister did when she was my age, and since we've lived in the same spot, I have the bus driver she did, and she always calls me Christa instead of Caitlin.

My husband and his brother Joey favor alot too. When my oldest son Allen was 2 and his dad was in boot camp, He called his uncle Joey Daddy cause Joey look so much like Charles and we could not get it through Allens head. He did not understand.

Same here! We used to be mistaken for twins all the time when we were really little, then it stopped when I hit puberty and she didn't . However now that we're both older it's started happening again. Some people still think we look nothing alike though.

*Blushes* People always think my mom's my sister or my daughter because I'm much taller, Isn't that embarrassing?

I am that woman who mistaken Kmma's kids for twins. I was so embarrassed.

They look so much alike. She has to post pics up for you to believe. THey are precious. I have two little girls and they don't favor at all. One looks like me and the other one looks like her dad.

Where as Kmma's kids, THey look like their dad. Kmma is going to have to stop putting herself down. I known her a week and she says she is ugly.
You are beautiful. I wish I had redhair. I got this blond hair that is so curly. YUk.

It's funny how we meet. We talked last week a little but not until yesterday and today where we gotten to know each other. She is real nice to let me use her computer til mine gets here.

I'm meant to be my mum's sister, but that's about it (except I did get mistaken as my 10 year old brother's mum the other week... I didn't realise I looked that old since I'm only 17!)

My brother and youngest sister have only 16 months between them, so they used to be mistaken for twins... happens a lot less often now though.
