Here's what I found on a different site...
Quote: | This is likely the first detection of the long-hypothesized "Oort cloud," a faraway repository of small icy bodies that supplies the comets that streak by Earth. Other notable features of Sedna include its size and reddish color. After Mars, it is the second reddest object in the solar system. It is estimated Sedna is approximately three-fourths the size of Pluto. Sedna is likely the largest object found in the solar system since Pluto was discovered in 1930. -http://spaceflightnow.com/news/n0403/15sedna/ |
That's interesting they found it, but it's so small...I doubt they'll be calling it a 'Planet', as Pluto is hardly considered a planet in itself anymore. Cool, though.

There is another planet, larger and closer than that one, and they don't consider it a planet (though I do.). I think it's called "Quaror".
Anywho, I will consider this one #11.

It would be interesting to explore if we could. My husband said that scientist are thinking are building ships similar to startrek. I think he heard a rumor of some kind. Or have you any of you heard about it too?

It would be cool if they did build a star ship. I'd be in line to join it's crew, would'nt you.

I reckon you'd have to be a pretty intelligent and well-educated person to get a posistion on the ship. I'd settle for simply seeing it, though.
